Signature Guidelines & FAQ​

SIGNATURE With your signature, you can give your postings their own personal touch. So that the overview remains intact, a few rules should be followed:

• Maximum Printable characters: 2000
• Maximum Lines: 10
• Maximum Links: 3
• Maximum Images: 1
• Maximum Smilies: 5
• Maximum Text size: 3

Members of the moderating team and support are permitted up to 5 links within their
signatures as these are used to direct players to more helpful threads within the forums​

Basic Guideline description:

• Max Image size : 200 X 500 ( 200 Height x 500 Width)
• 10 lines of useable text are (Blank lines are still considered a line)
• links: you are allowed 3, and are counted as a line of text. (links must be from the DO forums only)
• Smiles: Max number is 5, within the 10 lines of text.

Please keep in mind all forum rules apply to your signature: forbidden images and Content: • Profane Language - No Acronym or Slang Terms
• Big Point or Dark Orbit Flaming/Bashing
• Pornographic images
• Violent images
• Racist images
• Politically-motivating images
• No Advertisements
• Outside Websites (no external links are permitted)
• Email Addresses
• Personal Information

Adding a signature

To set the signature, following steps needs to be done:
1. Log in to your Forum account

2. Click on your “[Nickname]” on the top of the forum, then click on “Signature”




3. Use the known post editor field to create your signature and please keep in mind the signature requirements mentioned above.

To format the text, you can use all possible format options.

4. If the signature is done, click on “Save changes”

Please note that the signature will appear under all post you made and it is not possible to hide it.

 

As of September 2014, the maximum permitted size for a image in your signature has been updated (image size restrictions have been implemented).

Basic Guideline description:

• Max Image size : 200 X 500 ( 200 Height x 500 Width)

• Smiles: Max number is 5, within the 10 lines of text.

Please make sure that if any image exceeds this limit, that you rectify the signature to within the permitted guidelines.
