What are Ultimate Battle Arena Seasons (UBA)?

UBA is a new mode for the Training Arenas. Players can decide to fight in ranked 1-on-1 matches to gain arena points and make it to the top 50 in the arena of their server.

The 50 first players will receive special rewards and titles (see below). These rewards will be booked on the last day of a season before the ranking is reset.

The player on the first position at the end of the arena will get the Champion title till someone else defeats him.

How long is a season?

A season starts on midnight of the first day of the month and ends at 23:59:59 on the last day of the month (e.g. in February a season lasts exactly 28 days, while in August it is 31 days).

We chose this to avoid confusion and minimize the risks involved in manually scheduling the event every month.

What happens at the end of a season?

On the last day of the month, just before the next month starts, the rewards are booked automatically and the new top ranked player will be awarded the “Arena Champion” badge to carry the following month.

The ranking for the last month will be stored and is visible in a special tab in the ranking screen and the counters are reset to zero.

All participants who got rewarded be ending between top 50 will also receive a notification through the in-game mail system.

How’s that scoring thing working?

We have a new scoring system that takes the outcome of previous fights into account, making arena fighting much more competitive. While the old was just based on victories the new system will take into account your own and your opponent’s performance in previous battles.

Are you going to run special Tournaments?

Yes. The new arena system allows us to organize special event tournaments that will be run instead of a regular Season. We will, of course, announce them ahead of time, so you can prepare.

What about the special Goliath Designs?

The first three ranked players do receive a special Goliath Design (Gold, Silver, Bronze) if they make the specific place for the first time. Should they already own this design, we will add a specific amount of Extra Energy to their accounts instead.

What if there is a number of players with the same score?

Should more than one player have the same score, they will receive the same reward.
So if, for example, we find that five players made it to the first place, all five will get the rewards for the first place. The next lower ranked player will be ranked at the second place – and so on.

What’s that “Arena Iron” Goliath design?

Everyone who has at least once entered a ranked match, gets the opportunity to purchase a little souvenir: The “Arena Iron” Goliath design. The design does not carry any special bonuses and is just for showing off that you have been brave enough to dare fighting in the arena.

What is there to know about Matchmaking?

Not much, really. Like with the unranked Training Arena matches, the system looks for opponents with roughly the same strength to put them into the arena to fight each other.

Note: Nano Hull and Ore Updates are not available in the UBA and are not counted against the gear score.
