    I do have to say I started with the idea of these designs from this thread.


    Archangel

    Description:
    This "design" is more than just a paintjob for your Starfighter. It breathes life into the Vengeance, with passive lifeform-intelligent skills. The more pilots you kill in a row, the more damage your ship will do! Whenever your ship drops below 20% hitpoints, it will gain a 5% speed and damage boost--just that extra umph you need. This design by default has a 10% shield bonus, but you might find that slipping away with the gaining damage.

    The Mechanics
    As stated above, the ship/design starts off with a 10% shield bonus. However, for every kill in a span of 10 minutes, 1% of the shield bonus will be transfered to make it a damage bonus instead. So if you kill 10 pilots in 9 minutes, you will have a 10% damage bonus and a 0% shield bonus. However, it works like a timeline, so lets say you killed a pilot per minute in the above example, and two in the last minute. Once it gets past 10 minutes (assuming you haven't gotten any more kills) that kill stops counting and 1% of the boost goes back to shield. This does not apply to aliens. And yes, if you have 10 kills in 9 minutes and your HP is under 20%, you would have a 15% damage boost. (Gives a new meaning to suicide config :p)

    How to Obtain
    This design can be bought for 200k Uridium in the shop, and is available to get from Pirate Booty. Also, whenever you destroy an Archangel, there is a 1% chance you will get the design.


    Eidolon

    Description:
    This design for your Starfighter has the best fighting capabilities to date. With a passive skill that will lower enemy accuracy by 25%, the Vengeance once again soars to the ranks of the best ships in the fleet. It also comes with an ability that employs an untested and new technology: Phase Cloaking. Dust off your Vengeance hangar and show those scallawags who's boss.

    The Mechanics
    Lowering enemy accuracy by 25% makes the default accuracy only 55% (67% with pilot bio). Phase Cloaking is an ability, lasting 30 seconds, that makes your ship...let's just move to the example. You are flying through a map and you come up to an enemy ship, which you then proceed to fire on. When you activate this ability, it cloaks you for one second, even when you are shooting, and uncloaks you the next. It does this 15 times (so two seconds to cloak and uncloak 15 times is 30 seconds). While using this ability you have a 7.5% damage boost.

    How to Obtain
    Design costs 200k Uridium in shop, you can get it from pirate booty, and if you destroy an Eidolon you have a 1% chance to recieve the design, and a 2.5% chance to get it from an Eidolon while they are using Phase Cloaking.

  3. You could say the same about all the Goliath skill designs. Id like to see a new skill design for vengi, however I don't really like these 2 ideas. 1 would be hard to gain the potential of and 2 would just be annoying to fight against.

    I can see designs for the most used ship in the game and there pretty balanced but these are ridiculous and they would be a pain to fight against.

    They are designed for PvP, because that's the only thing the vengeance is good at.

    To ruin PvP or make the Vengi over-powered?

    How do either of these designs ruin pvp? Archangel still does less damage than a Goliath, and Eidolon just has better getaway ability.

    The Vengi already has a design to help it escape and the other designs just seem annoying and/or pointless.

    So we had, for a long time, the best laser as the LF-3. And then the LF-4 happened, why? Because the developers like to add things to the game. You're right, these designs really are pointless, just like the LF-4, but they're fun. The game is just fine as it is, but this is called the idea part of the forum because this is where ideas sometimes are added to the game. So please don't just tear down ideas, instead if you aren't happy with them either don't respond or just suggest changes to the OP.

    Yea, that's what is supposed to be happening regarding the posts in forum but good luck getting the forum trolls to comply or the Mods to control them.
     
  11. yes and that's just ONE skill design a vengeance has...compare that to the 5 the Goliath have, and it will be unfair.

    Seems ok.

    The 25% lower accuracy is to powerful.

    And the

    The rapid cloaking/uncloaking would likely cause high lag.

    Vengeance is good at pvp and not pve, because they can't really use their speed to an advantage there.

    Maybe eidolon should have -20%? The reason it's high is because with pilot bio that's still a (close to) 2/3 chance to hit it.
     
  14. I can agree with you Sociopath that the Vengeance has become lost in the upgrades. I flew that ship for years as it was the best in the fleet. Now I have seen how it gets creamed in most pvp fights with an upper fe or ube ship in its radar. Even with full havoks I have seen the ship have to flee the fight. Its time to make the Vengeance what it used to be and add something to its arsenal.

    The vengi is a flight and fight ship. Speed is it's weapon. I definitely don't support the speed increase. With the ability to repair in flight it can fight run away healing and come back full str especially with the yellow skin. It is bad enough that it can run away leaving a goli frustrated after the goli knocks it down to near nothing. This ship was designed with speed in mind and can take full advantage of it. I am not saying no to all of it or that the vengi doesn't need to be propped up a bit but I want you to really think about what your giving the vengi with this ability.
     
  16. I love these ideas although I do think they need to be watered down a little bit (maybe lower the % bonuses to balance it so the vengie does not become too OP).

    I am an ex-vengie pilot and I will always consider myself a vengie pilot, all I'm waiting for now is better designs for the ship, to bring it back up there with the others. I love vengies and would love to see something like this in-game. Lightening is good but it doesn't do anything to help in a fight, just makes you run away faster... we need more variety to choose from.

    @BIGPOINT - If you look at the ideas section of this forum and the old forum you will see that vengie designs have been suggested a lot. It is now time to give us some on the game!!!
