Any ability a player uses on someone wearing the Mirror formation will immediately be used on them/the target will gain the ability for it's duration. However, this formation does not imitate abilities that help the attacker only at no cost to the defender. You cannot copy abilities if that ability is already active, that ability must be activated while you are wearing the formation.

    Examples

Diminisher: The effect is used on the attacker, thereby increasing damage to their respective shields by 50% for each ship.

Spectrum: Yes, this ability affects the attacker's ship, but it affects the other person's as well. If a spectrum uses it's ability on someone wearing Mirror, that person will gain the prismatic shielding for as long as the Spectrum has it.

Venom: Poisons the other person. Best way to use this tactic would be to use a different drone formation until a Venom uses it's ability, then switch to mirror, then EMP (or jamx).

Solace: This works differently than the other designs. If someone is attacking with Solace and uses the ability, the defender does NOT copy the ability. They only copy the ability when someone in their outfit uses it (Healing themselves another 50% to make 75%, and healing other outfit members by 25%). Yes, this stacks to 100% healing (pretty sweet, huh).

Target Marker (spearhead): Target Marks the attacking spearhead.

No other abilities can be copied, for the sake of aegis becoming severely overpowered/underpowered.

    Cost and Penalties
150,000 Uridium. 12.5% less damage and shields.

I imagine it would look like the Lance formation, sideways.

  2. I think this is an interesting idea, but I think 10% is too little but 15% is too much for the shield/damage reduction, maybe somewhere in-between that?

Maybe it should have an HP reduction instead, less useful for aegis/citadel/goliath, and more for spearhead/vengeance/leonov. Even so, something like 12.5% shields is a lot of shields. I usually have a speed config of around 400k, and that's -50k. But you do have a total venom counter, so it might be worth it. And 12.5% less damage isn't much for me (I'm around fe status), but it's a ton for UE players, so that's good.

  4. I actually like this idea.
Possible Negatives: 12.5 reduction in Shields and HP. Copied effects lasts as long as the opponent has it active and is automatically deactivated once formation is switched.
*Cannot copy abilities if that ability is already active, ability MUST be activated while you are wearing the design

  5. So.. If I have this "formation" active & I'm fighting say a Venom & the Venom uses its ability. I mirror its ability, what happens now if I also have a Venom and activate my ability, but my opponent does not have the "mirror" formation?

    Peace

If they haven't EMP'd already, I imagine it would not stack to a double venom- that's kind of OP.

  7. Hmmm.. Gotta think on that one.. also is there any type of cool down for this formation or is it active at all times.
Example: I have mirror formation I fight multiple opponents, do I reflect all skills (as described above) sent my way? Or can I go from ship to ship fighting and deflecting each ability as I come to it? One rite after another, or will there be limits to its use?

    Peace

It will reflect all abilities, so when this formation first comes out, it should be pretty effective.

  9. Ok, that being said let's go back to the OP-over powering you mentioned.

The way I am understanding this an UFE can get this "formation" and assault 20 ships at a time instead of the usual 10 before a run and rep as ya fly is needed lol

I like the idea but I think there needs to be limitations set in place.

    Peace

What do you guys think about the Diminisher's ability stacking to 100%?

    Example:
Two diminishers fighting, one has mirror on (lets call this ship alpha). The other one doesn't (omega). Omega activate's its ability, giving 50% more shield damage to both ships. This only helps whoever does more damage, assuming relatively same shield amount. Now, alpha activates its ability, doubling that ships damage to omega's shields. Is that too overpowered?

    Here's another idea, in a 2v1. Example:
Alpha and Omega are now on a team against player Phi. Phi is wearing mirror. Alpha activates diminisher ability. Both alpha and omega are attacking Phi. Should the ability only affect Alpha and Phi, or all three?

Those limitations were supposed to be the damage and shield penalties. How about -15% damage and 10% less shields?

  11. Oh yes now I understand better. Think this was said already -15% dmg is too much.

Sorry, wasn't really understanding the concept... hence the discussion

I still like this idea & I'm sure I'll like it better once ya hammer it into my brain hahaha.

    +1 From me

    Peace

  12. Not a bad idea it is original and creative. I would probably buy it as more of a toy than a tool, which would make the game more fun and that is the aim.

Once it becomes well-known it won't be so useful since people aren't dumb enough to venom themselves, but I still like it. It's one step closer to stopping the overpowered-ness of ues, and it provides an alternative hp restoring mechanism (as opposed to aegis).

Updated to 12.5% less damage and shields.
