  1. Surely someone can do their job and check how much a paying player has spent over the years?....The no rewards for so called 'bot detection' is a bit out of order....
I want a refund if I'm paying money and can't win nothing. I paid for Hitac £20 as well. This is a joke right? The bot thing is a farce and it isn't fair at all. I'm not a cheater and shouldn't be treated like a criminal. Check you data and see how much I've spent over the years. This isn't customer service? Ridiculous!

One more thing, I'd like to see other players complain about this too... many players have suffered and should be allowed to speak out.

I say it's fair to ban players who continue to cheat....

I say it isn't fair for players who re build their accounts, but can't take part...What's the point of playing? I think the tactic is crafty and there is definitely a hidden agenda?

But surely if you have been caught using a bot in the past then you are (or at least were) a "cheater" and you will have earned an advantage in the game however small or large. Now irrespective of the amount you have spent on your account before or since you were staged, the fact remains that you have cheated the game in the past and one of the punishments for this is that you cease to be eligible for competitions and prizes in the game.
Please be aware that this is still rather lenient compared to those who have completely lost their accounts under the bot detection/prevention rules in place now.

  3. It's understandable, however, there is the question of foul play, for the reason that the game designers/admin for a long time let the bot issue go undetected and even denied it existed. Therefore, I do have a reasonable arguement in the fact that many, many players were curious about players who went around fully maxed on everything. Then found out if it was true by literally being told how to try to get your own back...It was even spelt out how it's done, by admin in forums...
Lastly, I have read about players who have slipped under the radar. Who knows they may even win jackpot battle too. I suggest another alternative; for instance, the websites that introduced the bots advertising DARK ORBITS name?....Don't you guys have a patent? I have not seen it in the news that you took those websites to court....I don't trust anything what is said or done on this game anymore.

And please don't brand me a cheater.

Aren't you beating around the bush a bit? Darkorbit has finally decided to ban bots, they have taken initiative. Just because DO takes initiative now doesn't mean you're excused. I understand that in the past many people used bots, I was even tempted to, but there is something called self-control and honsety. Just saying...

  5. Just stating that in the real world crimes fit punishments.. A person that gets caught doing 35mph, in a 30mph zone, may just get a warning. However, a person who does 110mph gets banned. That is justified. The offender simply sees their errors and pays the price. However, there is a thing called justice and after a while your record is clean. It is totally unfair and unacceptable to punish a person but NOT know the extent of the crime that was committed. It doesn't add up if your measuring equipment cannot differentiate between the two crimes. Therefore, I suggest it's wrong. Anyone who disbelieves it please don't post it's irritating, I have a fair arguement and stand for innocent players caught up in this and have been branded cheats and excluded from things..Not only that, kept in the game and forced to give up cash to rebuild their accounts.

    I say good riddens to the cheaters / in America if a person is found guilty of a felony they may never own a gun or be in possession of a weapon / so why should a cheater be allowed to enter dark orbit events { They Shouldnt }

  7. This isn't America and we don't own guns here?

  8. LOL ZÿИΛPS™ you talk a good talk - but do you pracice what you preach?

I am a player who was banned when the 2-stage process was introduced .. even though I absolutely DID NOT BOT!!

I was banned for the simple reason that one of my sons botted & as all our accounts are linked to me, I was banned for 3 days & branded a "CHEATER". They were not even prepared to tell me when I had allegedly botted or how in case "WAYS COULD BE FOUND AROUND THEIR DETECTION METHODS".

Complain as I did, I was given the final response that I could get my legal representative to contact Bigpoint's legal team. The issue with this is/was that Bigpoint know quite well that hardly anyone is going to spend several hundred pounds doing this!!

If you break the law, then you break the law - doesn't matter if you do 35 mph or 100 mph in a 30 mph zone. Why do 35 anyway - safest thing to do is to do 20-25 mph instead!!

Don't complain about what Bigpoint are doing or have done nor about what you have spent on the game. You agree to their T&Cs & the main thing that you forget is that the account you play never belongs to you, but remains in the sole ownership of Bigpoint. So, if you don't like it, then don't play & find another silly game instead!!

I think Silver is right. Anyway, We all agreed to the contract, terms, and therefore we are subject to them and it does not matter whether we don't like the terms. When you sign a contract you abide to it, if you don't like it then make a complaint, get a petition, something before you sign. Just so you know, crimes are treated differently in separate countries.

  10. You cheated, you're scum, shouldn't have done it. it was hard to re-build your account? I lost my colonel account to a ban for something years back, then made a new account, decided I didn't care about the game, but came back about 2 years ago and continued on that account, I didn't bot and im semi ufe. you cheated and want to be able to win things? HA get over yourself, you should be glad you're still able to play the game. Quit crying no one cares.

  12. Exactly, he is crying about $20, I got nothing and I spent $100, and he cheated and expects to gain something. Some were accused of botting and lost that chance, some did bot, and this guy was one of them and cried about it? lol wow.

Ok, this will be closed as it is not a technical issue.

Very simply, BigPoint owns all rights and privileges to any game accounts (regardless of any money spent to improve the gameplay while utilising it). A breach of the Terms and Conditions essentially means that an account is forfeit - Support is fully within their rights to completely obliterate all traces of it, never to be seen again. They have chosen instead to be VERY lenient (in my opinion), and allow users to continue to use those accounts with certain limitations in place. This decision created massive controversy amongst the player population, as many felt that it was completely unfair to allow them to continue to play at all - you will find very little sympathy for arguing that botters are being treated too harshly...

(To use your own "speeding" analogy, a breach of the T&C would be more akin to driving at 200 miles per hour, running cars off the road in all directions causing numerous major accidents, and injuring or killing several innocent bystanders. Verdict: That individual should never be allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle again for their entire life.)

However, none of the these decisions are made by the Moderation Team, and we have no input over the staging process. If you have concerns about how any of this is implemented, you should address them to Support directly.
