Batle Points

  1. Rather than trying to create new gear new systems should be improved to help them, and could an admin look over this also, I know its a bit to read but its a serious idea. If any issues found with it make constructive replies please.

    My idea is that there should be a system of "Ship" ratings or battle points to list how strong our ships are, instead of giving kill rewards by ship type, it should be by the new point system. Battle points would be like ran points , but instead of taking EP and honor into account, it would take the total cost of the items such as lf-4 iris, pilot points, etc into account plus your level. The more elite items you have the more your battle points are. The lower a ships battle points are in relation to yours
    the less ep and honor you get from that ship kill. When your battle point or even you both will get the regular or normal amounts for the ship kill you would get now. When yours is lower you get a bonus to them ep and honor.

    In edition there should be an "assist kill" ad o to ranks, because a lot of people might assist in a pvp kill rather than be the one to get the lock.

    Battle Points are Null during events such as space ball, and scormegeddon.

    As for the smallest ships lvls 1-12 if they do not have 1/4 to 1/2 of your total battle points when you attack them and you are atleast lvl 16 and higher they get a dmg reduction.

    lvl 16 25% reduction
    lvl 17 35% reduction
    lvl 18 40% reduction
    lvl 19 50% reduction
    lvl 20 and higher 60% reduction

    I do not find these values extreme i reasoned these based on the base killing power of the lvl lvl 20 and higher have a higher reduction based off them being most UFE and if not somewhat still stronger than most in game 60% reduction is only about the same boost as seprom. This reduction also only happens if there not first to attack. To make sure it is not abused. it will only work to lvl 12 at most there is a max time of 5 reductions per hour with a 4min delay in them.

    I know prob be a lot of coding but it will help.

    Also Honor has became basically useless we max out cred return at around 500k honor if i remember correctly.
    I was thinking that after we get to 1mill honor it would slowly increase the amount of uri we get from destroying NPCs or increase the trade rate of pallidium.

    You get about 116 uri from BK I think so i was thinking at around 1mill honor uri from BK might increase to 125 at 1.5mill honor it increases 135 at 2.5mill uri it increases to 150 at 3mill honor to 175 at 4.5mill honor to 185 and at 6 mill honor to 211 and then stops growth.

    You get 128 uridium from a BK, just saying lol, honor is still good for rank chasing, the idea to give more for having more honor seems fine to me, the other idea seems alright as well.

  6. I'd go even further and create an honor penalty for destroying ships that are significantly weaker than yours. There is no honor in an unfair fight

    Getting -Honor from an enemy company doesn't make sense no matter how weak the ship may be, the battle points system would reward less for weaker ship kills so there wouldn't be a need for the negative honor anyways.
     
  8. Without a disincentive people will 1 hit newbs in credit ships for the hell of it, even if they get nothing

    It's going to happen and there isn't many ways to prevent it without damaging the game and irritating groups of players, some literally enjoy harassing noobs and others slaughter everything in sight regardless of how weak or strong they may be. The pushing system helps though.

No not really any negative honor reduction that would be kinda pointless an even more less productive, even if they are massivly stronger by all technical means they are still to kill them, i just mean at least they wont get the same amount for killing a 3 flax citadel as they if it was UFE
     
  11. I like your ideas man. Perhaps the damage reduction can be redone because level does not always dictate damage. Honor would be nice if it had a different function after 500k and the battle points system you proposed sounds good to me. +1
