[SC] MOD: New Forums

Greetings all,

I know that many of you will have lots of questions about how things work, and where can I find "x", and this part is missing, etc etc. We do ask for your patience during this time, as we are also still learning the differences between Forums, and trying to determine what features are available and how they function.

We have a general idea about most things, although I will be testing to confirm a number of features before providing any official suggestions or advice. I hope to have a working Forum Guide available in the Newbies section by the end of the weekend - in the meantime, please post any questions you have in this thread, and we will try to get back to you ASAP. Any player advice/help is absolutely encouraged, as we are not available 24/7.

(NOTE: Only questions regarding the Forums themselves please. Any game-related queries should be posted in their appropriate sections).

Section Rules are available for almost all areas - please read through these before posting (they will also help you to get a sense for where to post issues).

The FAQ section will likely be a work in progress for several months. Feel free to use the old Forums as a reference if you find that more comfortable - we are working as fast as we can to get the information transferred and updated, but it is a VERY time-consuming process. Hi I liked the new posts feature on the old forums. it enabled me to quickly keep up to date. However the same feature in the new forum displays posts in all languages. I am interested in English only. Is there a way?

 

==THUMPΞR== - There is not an easy way. It is an issue I am chasing with Support, however it might be quite some time before they can address some problems.

In the meantime, you can select to "watch" various forums. If you select all of the English ones, then you can check your Watched Forums for new posts in those forums only.

I am working on a guide to explain how to do all these things - hopefully it will be done by the end of the weekend. If you cannot figure it out, post back and I can try and explain.

 

Its just one big forum for all languages. You can't choose just one langues.

Not bad, will take some time to get used to it but I kinda like it.

 

This new look of the forum is awsome. Keep on with the good work BigPoint.

 

Are we going to be able to have Sigs on this forum? I tried adding my old one, but, it doesn't show up.

Lol, never mind, did a little more exploring and figured it out.

 

Will there be a private tech section, like in the old forum?

 

Unfortunately, no. We did ask, however the aim is to keep the Forums more or less standard across all Bigpoint Games. A "private" section of any type is simply not permitted - any questions or issues which would require privacy have to go through Support.

 

I love the new forum it looks great and you guys and you have done agreat job on this and I'll try and help out by finding and reporting bugs etc but so far none which can only mean the best Great work on the new forum Darkorbit Team!!!

I was also curious if we would be able to have picture signatures etc.

 

picture signatures are available, you just have to change the setting to be able to see it.

 

Players/users are permitted to have (1) image in their signature. We are still trying to confirm if there will be a maximum image size, so for the moment, try to keep it reasonable.

 

Ok ill just wait then until the size of the signatures are confirmed so i dont get into a mess with a signature. Thanks =SERAPH=
