Greetings Space Pilots!

I started playing DarkOrbit around March/April 2011, and was hooked instantly - somewhat unusual for me, since I'm more of a Fantasy-RPG player at heart. After several false starts, and an accidental self-deletion, I decided to start afresh with a brand-new account, and make the effort to stick with it. Thus, =MANTICORE= was born (also one of those rare players still using their original name)

I am not a particularly great player, since this really isn't my genre of preferred game, so more often than not I can be found running for the nearest portal, with a flock of NPCs and an enemy ship (or two) trailing close behind. I am more than willing to admit that I am outmatched, both in skill and equipment, by most players in this game, and especially on my current server (US East 1).
This doesn't faze me however, since I find the most joy in this game by simply shooting down aliens. Enemy players are more of an annoyance to be avoided, rather than an opponent to be destroyed. As my skill grows, I may start to engage in PvP combat more often, but it isn't something I strive for.

I really enjoy the forums, however my work situation at the moment just doesn't allow for the free time I used to have. I will still try to create and maintain some charts to help players out, but it has been a while since I was able to help more directly. Maybe if you're really lucky, you might occasionally see me in the game for a chat. I also try to be as accurate as possible with my information, so it is appreciated if you find a mistake and let me know - that way I can get it right the next time.

Thanks for your kind words. I haven't quit - it's more of an enforced absence due to work commitments (free time is a luxury at the moment, so I spend whatever I can playing). I probably won't be able to keep up much with these forums either, but I'll try and keep a few threads updated.
