Mini Map and Groups

Hello,

I was in 5-2 a few minutes ago with a group, when I looked down at my mini map. I saw a red dot and started to fly towards it. When I arrived at the dot, it was one of my group members that was in a different company than I was. This made me confused, why would someone that is friendly be shown as a red dot when they are in my group?

So my idea, make everyone that is in your group have a yellow dot on the mini map, no matter what company. This way, you can tell where your group is at all times, and not think they are an enemy.

The only time the other people's dots do not turn yellow, is if you are in the same clan, in which it will stay green.

Thoughts?

 

We need a new color dot for group members. I'm not sure if your two threads are the same idea or subtly different I don't know, but anyhoo, yellow dots are reserved for clans with NAPs. I see quite a few of them on my map. A different color for group members would be neat. Purple was suggested in another thread. I'm game for gray or white.

 

I don't know.....It might be hell for the dev team considering coding or whatever, I'd say it is just fine as it is.

 

It's not that hard to turn a red dot into a purple dot.

No? If they don't think the community needs it, they don't put it in.

 

I think using a yellow dot is fine. It makes sense too since yellow does mean NAP. It does cause confusion when in outfit with nme to see red dot on minimap. I would like to see this idea happen too.

 

Ah poor vespid he is so fed up with his idea being shot down he is just throwing out random no's with it will cause lag when a tiny speck color change will not.

Instead of a yellow dot or something how about it stays red if they are other company but have a green or yellow box around them.

Because you said it yourself they don't think the community needs it but they are but a handful of people which may or may not play the game. If they see that alot of players want and feel it won't upset the game like your idea they will put it in.

 

How are they going to see many players in forum when most have been chased away by forum members like you???

 

So you admit that you're only posting here because your hurt that we are not just accepting your ideas.


Anyway all i can say is if anyone left it is of their own accord. Not because i drove them away that is one against the rules and against my way of thinking.

And if i did drive them away they where going to be banned for using bots anyway.

 

Yea right, You guys are just gonna have to use all your accounts combined to get many pilots to sign on for this.

I think this is a good idea although I don't think it should be a yellow dot considering NAP's already have a yellow dot, perhaps an orange dot? Vespid you really think this would be hard to code and implement yet you can't realize your idea's are ridiculous in every aspect.

 

Red, blue, green and yellow are all represented if you're a premium player so a fifth color would be needed. Orange or pink would stick out on the mini map quite well I'd think. Though I do turn off backgrounds so I'm not sure how those colors would work with the backgrounds turned on. But yeah, I'd like to see this implemented.

 

Those colors probably wouldn't work to well with some of the maps' backgrounds, then again some of the current dot colors don't work well either lol.

 

White or gray maybe? xD.

VESPID, swallow that and digest it. The communty wants zero of your ideas so do not bother us with them.
I'll not turn this into "that discussion." There are no problems with having a new color of dot on the minimap and it would be helpful. +1

 

White or grey would probably be better although it would be best to test it on every map with background up to make sure.

 

I don't like the idea of a purple dot. I feel like that would be hard to see. But i guess it depends on what tint the purple is. Is it like this? Or like this?
