Boosted Laser/Rocket on/off cpu

Ok, so i have heard of someone suggesting this before in chat but i do not know if it made it to forums. It is basically this - a cpu, or even an added function for prem members, to STOP using your equipped promi/sepped lasers, as if they were not equipped. They would stay on ship and you could save up much faster while playing the game. I do not think you would need this for rockets, speed gens, or shields as those are much easier to throw 10k on and last weeks. But lasers go by to fast,and id like to save sep or even promi and not use it in lowers, or Alphas gates that dont require much effort. Now i see how people would have an issue with this, turning it off and on, why not a cooldown of 1 hour? Perhaps more, open for input. But it can not be reversed either way for at least an hour. Either game time or real time.

Any suggestions are welcomed, and MODs with personal opinions also welcome

Edited: I do notice my title contradicts what i said about the rockets... Simple mistake lol still think it is not needed for rockets.

 

I think it's a smart idea.

That's exactly why someone else created a thread saying lasers should be a 1 to 100 ratio compared to the 1 to 10 ratio everything else gets. Either of these or both would be great for in-game play.

 

There was an idea in old forums I like.

You could equipt Seprom and Promi at the same time, and switch it for different usage. I would like something like that to come into the game as I am always sepped and hate to waste it on point less npcs.

 

A toggle switch between sep and prom would be AWESOME....even with a 1 hour cooldown timer ...great for gates
