In Game harassment

ok so i just started playing DO like 4 days ago and ive been pretty happy playing. only problem is i have this one High ranked player named REMOVED (MMO) who constantly follows me around sector 2-3 or wherever i go and blows me up,then hunts me down and does it again and again and again and again ONLY ME i asked him to stop but he refuses to leave me alone i always get banned from chat because i have to keep telling to leave me alone Can i please get some help with this issue?

 

If you feel as though this player is specifically targeting you and harassing you then report him to support, /ignore him in chat and perhaps stay in your x-1 map until he is cleared out of your maps, ask in chat for some help and maybe join a clan that can help defend you.

 

which server do you play?

i am sure there will be someone on here that plays your server and would love to help you. nothing better than slapping a bully about

 

its true , in the beginning u gonna have to be a bait until the guys learns the lesson that you are not alone

 

Yeah there is not much you can do single handly with another higher ranking ship, what you need to do is join a clan willing to help you defend this guy or get some higher ranking friends to hunt him down or defend you. I would also recommend that you change maps when farming and to hang around the big boys for support. There is actually nothing that admins either in forums or chat that can help you besides ban you for bad language etc...

Just keep it together, set your goals and get some tough allies to help defend you. It will benefit you greatly in the future as well when your wanting to hunt other ships for missions, etc. Hang in there and never give up as most do!

 

The people who do this sort of thing are actually quite stupid because they are actually making the game less active if they bully the noobs into stopping playing... just wait it out and find some friends to group with so you aren't alone and try not to go too far from the portal.

Don't really understand why people do this nowadays because it is really about helping noobs now so that this game actually gets some more players (!) I have had a lot of fun recently just helping and messing around with noobs on the server to make their game more fun as well as mine and occasionally I help them on their NPC lol.

This is something we should all do to improve the game in the long run. Yes in a years time if we get more players we can kill em all ^^

But then there will be more targets so it won't just be one person targeted. (because often its one person per map in lowers nowadays)

Solution #2 is spend about £5000 this weekend on MHH and kill the player... you may need to sell a kidney... or three. O_O

 

Unfortunately this is human nature my friend.

This game shows our true colours, this is the place where our underlying behaviors can be expressed - normally in the form of picking off targets much less powerful and capable than the bullies themselves, yet if they see a ship of equal strength or skill they wont attack and may even run.

I myself have been targeted by a player from my own company, to the point where this player said they just didnt like the look of me (lol) and chased me out of PvP maps where i liked to box.

Needless to say i am now ALOT stronger than that person in game, but he/she has changed their name and every now and again i ask in chat where this person is...but no reply.

That person is a coward who preyed on me when i was in a piranha ship and 1 flax drone, now im on my way to becoming Uber that person is nowhere to be seen.
