New auction test server problem/feedback

I have just went into the test server a few minutes ago. What I try going in-game, the "establishing Connection" window keeps going without stopping and I can't go into the actual game.

I know that this is just a test, and I am saying this because I want the DO team to make sure that this problem doesn't happen when it is implemented for real. I also want to know if anyone else is having this problem.

Now for feedback: From what I can see, the new auction is a great deal better than the current one. It looks like it is RELOADED (get what I mean). I do not mind at all having no LF4 in the auction because it will be unfair to those who did the Zeta gate over and over or got lucky from collecting Booty boxes.
I would like it (but not sure if others will) to have hanger halls in the auction. DO could limit the number of hangers you can get from the auction to 1 or 2. This is just my opinion.

It's not unfair if the Lf4 is in the auction, it would be in the weekly auction and only 52 would be won a year, you don't get Lf4's from Zeta gates either. I think the server won't let you onto the game because your testing the auction not any in-game updates.

 

LF4 can be gotten from the booty boxes. I don't want to put any links, but if you look at the booty box Dark Orbit wiki, it says that you can get them. It also says the same thing in the LF4 wiki and I know many respectable and honest players that have gotten them when I was grouping with them.

 

I meant you can't get them from Zeta gates.

 

i have the same problem only company u can get loaded is mmo and u cant jump any gates or it happens again lol

 

oh. ok. I checked in the wiki, it is the Epsilon gate that gives LF4, my bad. But it's the same, you can get it through a gate, which it unfair to those who did the gate 45 times to now be able to get it with credits.

EDIT: Just checked wiki again, you can get it through Kappa too

 

I wonder why they'd make it so you can't do nearly anything on the space map, maybe because your testing the auction on the back-page? Hmm. You barley got any uridium so you can't do much even if you get on the space map.

As for the actual auction, I wish they would've included the drone formations and maybe pet gears and protocols and the Lf4. I don't like that you can see the highest bid either.

SPSAT99, It might be unfair in your eyes but is 52 Lf4's a year really unfair, how many is one player going to be win, it wouldn't be cheap by a long shot for just one Lf4, making it easier to get Ufe so there's more competition in the game is a good thing.

 

Yes, it is still unfair, as being in auction makes it easier to get it. Yes, 60 mill+ creds is a lot, but it is such a low amount compared to the chances of getting it through Gates and the work spent on getting the gate itself.

 

For the one's that need Lf4's making the credits to even bid on one would be a feat all it's own, 60 million credits for an Lf4 would be cheap, stop thinking about the wallet warriors and think about new players and average players, this would help them compete and build up, it's not overpowered because it's 52 a year. Everyone was selfish so Lf4's weren't put into the new auction.

 

I think LF4 have been made to be gotten through Gates and booty boxes for a reason. A brand-new player (few hours) joining a clan and getting a LF4 in a no-drone piranha/bigboy would be overpowered. It's best if they went from using to MP-1 to LF2 then LF3 and finally LF4 than to get LF4 right away. They need to learn to play the game than have elite stuff technically being given to them.

 

Are you kidding me, even if someone joined a clan and got credits for an Lf4, they have 1 Lf4 so the entire loop is overpowered, that's abosluletely absurd. I doubt anyone would be trying to win Lf4's on brand new accounts anyways, this would help newer players and average FE's progress quicker and be more competitive. To progress from laser to laser would take years, most players go right to Lf3's nowadays's anyways.

 

One LF4 with credits is still much easier than an LF4 from any Galaxy gate

 

Try making credits on an average FE account or noob account to win an Lf4 in auction, who know's how much it would actually be on a fairly populated server, you think it's easier for a noob to make possibly hundreds of millions of credits or do a gate, first they'd have to build it which is a challenge in it's own right. Why are you against the idea of noobs and average FE's and players progressing quicker through the game and being able to compete more?

 

I am not against the idea of noobs/FE's processing through the game quicker, as I'm semi-FE with only 10 lf3 and other lf2, and only 8 bo2. I just think that lf4s shouldn't be handed out to players that easily. If lf4 were given in trade, than there would be no reason for giving it in the kappa/epsilon gates. Yes, it would go for extremely high creds, but if someone was determined enough, than they could make enough creds, noob or not or even if it took a long time. Also, we already have lf3 in auction, why do we need another laser in there? (And don't say take off lf3 from auction. That would be completely ridiculous.) Since lf4 is not in shop, I think we should work to get it.
