Explosion Animations and Movie Clips

I think it would be really cool if there were more detailed and clean animations, like when you die it shows your ship exploding an falling apart, and when you receive more and more damaged your ship appears to be falling apart and losing prices. The same for repairing, and when shields go down or regain then your ship would glow blue and hazy. And possible little movie clips for galaxy gates for traveling between maps or plain clips just for logging into the game, like flying out of the hanger and into the open space around the hq. Let me know your thoughts, all feedback is appreciated, thanks.

Seems like a good idea, but I'd have to say no. The game lags a lot as it is, at the moment, and implying this would mean more going on your back ground thus more lag...and also you have I remember some players play on older computers/computers not that so powerful, so it would probably kill their computer, when they die.

 

True that, I still would like to see these wants met for when I get my dream comp.

this would cause a lot of lag but it does sound like a cool idea... maybe they should have one for every alpha mission done to see what happens later

 

Despite being a good idea (especially for a cinematic intro once you enter a Galaxy Gate), I have to aggree on most people on the above: NOT ALL PLAYERS HAVE A GOOD COMPUTER!!!...and also it creates lag.
But however, if you can adjust the quality to make these visible or not visible in the options menu, then that might be a good idea

 

Yeah if they could implement the graphics and have them be optional that would be good

 

This idea was suggested many times on the old forum, however many people rejected it due to it causing possible lag issues. I'm not saying no to this, but I'm just saying that this is an idea that has been suggested and rejected numerous times.
