Old drones

this is how the old drones used to look in their formation, i don't know everyone's opinion on this, but i would say the basic drone formation and basic only should be changed back to this layout, drone graphics to remain as they are now but drone formation to return, it looks a lot better

What is your guy's opinion on this?

That is a great looking formation and I kinda miss seeing it.

 

CURVY - Where would the 9th and 10th drones go? Part of the reason for the change was to redesign the formation to accomodate the two extra drones which are available, so an 8-drone formation cannot be the standard.

 

It can still be standard, and the original formations were perfectly fine with the 9th drone was introduced, everyone liked it.

well the most i miss is looks of old iris drones.
i have all 10 of them now so no point to change formation in my case and i hide them in settings less lag.

 

When the apis was introduced, it took its place above one of the pairs of the drones that were at the side of the ship.

As for the suggestion, I think it would be better if DO released this is as a seperate formation and call it something like the Classic formation. It could have no +/- like the standard formation and it could cost around 100k creds (cos seriously if you've been playing since that formation was the norm chances are 100k creds is virtually nothing to you.)

I'm suggesting it this way cos while some people like the old standard formation, but others prefer it the new way. I personally prefer the new standard formation due to how it keeps everything together more but everyone to their own.

 

100k isn't hard for anyone.

 

To the sides you have the two drones, you could place the 2 extra drones, 1 on each side behind the two, to form two triangle shapes and 4 at the back.

I like the idea of the classic formation. that would be cool

 

When Apis and Zeus came out, they took place behind the drones extending out of the starboard and port side of the ship, sitting behind the Iris. This classic "sweeping" look looked a lot better rather than have them stuck to you all day.

 

yeah the look we have now is ridiculous.

 

Personally, i like the look we have now, better than the look we used to have; when Apis, and then Zeus drones were released. So really i wouldn't want them to change it back. However, they could implement a button ( on settings) so those who wants the old drone formation look, could have it. And does who doesn't, could keep the normal one.
