  1. Hi

    I just wanted to mention the fact that not only does it seam a lot harder to build gates than before but it also looks like the chance of getting some rewards are also getting less.

    One of my clan members has done 12 zetas in the last week and has not got one havoc design??

    It may seem like a nice little earner from bigpoints point of view but I know for a fact that the said player has just about had enough now after spending a lot of money to find he is getting absolutely nowhere, This of course becomes counter productive for bigpoint because eventually people see the real price of playing this game and quit for good.

    This game has become unfair to new players if the stats have been changed and I for one think this is the case, I used to put 10 pounds per week on and that would build me 1 and a half zetas but now i can put 10 pounds on and not even build half of one? I know some peeps will come on here telling me how odds work etc..I already know the math but over 6 months i have never built a zeta for 10 quid and that means I am either the most unlucky player on the game or something more sinister has happened to the game.

  2. We are being scammed tbh, i used to get to 60 parts with 50k uri (rebate) but now i just get to like 30-40 parts.
    2 zetas so far, no havoc.
    Come on BP...

  3. Something interesting is happening while building this current gate I'm on.Had maybe
    7 parts of 120. and was getting a bunch of multipliers. lolz really.
     
  4. Yeh I have had that too. The other day I span and I got 13/111 and about 3 multipliers

    I have done 7 zetas with only 2 Havocs received. AND I am a free player! I have never spent a dime on the game, yet I have been playing for 3 years now. Something needs to change soon because I'm getting tired of spending whole days in the palladium field trying to open 1 Zeta.
     
  6. It does seem that the rate is down as I had similar experience building the last 10 parts of a Kappa this weekend.
    This is like 10 Kappas and 1 Herc.

  8. 23 kappa to date and only 4 hercs... Beggars belief tbh when others have a full set from the same number of gates some of which were gained with bots and cheating yet some players are left with a '25%' chance.

    I can only disagree that the '25% chance' is just that yet is different for many and various people depending on BP only knows what. I can also state average gate part yields have gone from 1/6 to over 1/13 or worse.

    For now no prem and very little cash from me because every time I try and buy something which I feel is worthwhile BP either nerf it or change it in some way which is never ever for the benefit of players just BP's bottom line.

    Am already cringing at the thought of the next round of upgrades be they damage or shields or some other uber benefit that costs way too much in the grand scheme of things, and don't get me started on repairing while flying as its little more than a thinly veiled ploy to ensure we expend more 'uridium purchase only' ammo to fill BP coffers.

    Lets hope some of the recent (and developing) space orientated mmo's aren't as fickle or greedy as BP and their shareholders are.

    I really don't like to bash BP as DO was a good game yet the more I play most recently the more I see players like myself becoming disenfranchised due to spiralling player costs.
     
  9. The people who get full hercs (or any other gate reward, just an example) with lets say 20-30 just have nothing to complain about so they stay silent. The ones who need more gates than average are the ones who make noise and that makes people to think that everybody is having horrible luck with rewards and they are being scammed.

    One of my clan members got 10 hercs with 25 kappas. That does not mean that everyone gets them with 25. It means he has good luck.
    If someone does 10 zetas w/o havoc that just means he has bad luck.

    I just threw a dice... It is 16,6% chance to get number "3" right?
    2 2 6 4 4 2 1 5 4 1 1 6 4 3 are the numbers which I got. It took me 14 tries to get my first "3". That does not mean that the universe is scamming us. It is just bad luck if I wished to get "3".

  10. Been around a very longtime and its nothing to do with bad luck or good luck as you say.

    Closer you are at building the gate the less parts you get thats a fact sorry to say.

    When the gates came out you did have more of a chance to get full havocs etc but now its costing more and more to even build a gate let alone get full havocs from a certain number of gates.

    I remember when alpha came out think I build it for around 20k uri try and build any gate 20k uri now.

    But what do I know ;).

    Yes, that is a fact, but it always has been like that. Don't confuse two things: when you get a part, and when you get a part you need. That's obvious when you have only few left you will get multipiers almost all the time. And getting part if you have multiplier is much more difficult.

    If you want to prove that probability percentage is off, give us some data - around 10 000 spins might tell something, but the more the better. And count every multiplier as gate part, otherwise test will not be accurate.

    I'm not suggesting that they did nothing with spinning algorithms - but its difficult to prove something without serious data, and easy to go paranoid ;)

    I did - results are obvious. More spins taken into account, probability closer to 13%.

    Completing Gates is another matter - depends on your luck with multipliers. In older forums there was a chart suggesting X2 multiplier was the best to use. Since you can spin 100 energies at one time, multipliers are only used at X6.

    Probability of 13% doesn't mean you will get 13 parts every 100 spins. It says that in large amount of spins it will get closer and closer to 13%.

    Unfortunately it's not easy to confirm this. The chance is still 13% to get a part, but it's your decision if you use multiplier immediately or wait 1 or 2 spins. If you "get the feel" you can do much better than activating multipliers just as you get them. Other way around is also possible - you can miss all the parts and end up even worse ;)
