Change the ranks to give newbs a chance!

The amount of one stars (and other badges) per company should be increased. Newbies will play a lot more if they can easily obtain a badge and some form of self respect. It's time for Dark Orbit to use sense over business. In the end it will create a lot more respect amongst players and lead to an improved amount of players amongst the DO community.
(Hopefully, just like the old days).

 

i don't give a crap about rank and i would advise u guys to do the same. it will save a lot of time as this issue have been discussed long ago and still dark orbit not doing anything or maybe they cant do anything as this is an ONLINE game.
i'm happy that's bots are over and that rank are stable now, well for me as i am chief captain and it's been around 100K for like a month to go for basic major in other server it is high or low depending on the activity of that server.
i don't really understand the message here how will changing the rank improve amount of players and if it does using common sense we know that this is online game and if there is more player there will be more competition for ranks so its very bogus thing to say that ranks points should increase if u play on server like GE1 the rank are constantly increasing because there are soo many people who play a lot of hours and lead to a difference between the ranks. Why u saying that dark orbit is behind the ranks.
In my opinion its the players who play and they set the boundary of ranks. the more people play the more rank point u have to achieve to get to certain rank like in GE1 my acc has 325M EP it is basic captain considering i have same amount of honour in GA5, and in GA5 my acc of about 300M EP was higher than the rank of GE1, maybe a major reason why i left global europe 1 server was the bids and rank were very hard to achieve

But, in this text you are trying to say that rank doesn't matter, but you left your server becuse of rank. That is prove that rank give a motivational boost

 

True..I wouldn't care much if I were a 'chief captain'..However, the producers want you to climb levels fast..Therefore I suggest more rewards, hence, better rank badges!
(Why Dark Orbit only half bake things, I really don't know?)

I would like higher rank but i am currently at Basic Captain and getting to just a Chief Captain will take some planning let anything higher.

They don't review our ideas in any of the forum sections which is why this game is in such a bad state , only thing they care about is their own ideas which have done very little if anything to improve upon the original dark orbit from years ago .

 

No way i am colonel on global europe 3 and newbies and some other peoples just do not have any respect they are to hight rank anyway i have more than 40k ships deytroyed with 1 star but wait 1 player on ge3 has like 20k and he is top 1 with 3 stars FK the sytem, make rank more considering on ships destroyed thats what top players are HUNTERS !!!!!!!!

How would giving someone something they havent earned create more respect? You must be from the no dodge ball generation where everyone gets a trophy and nobody loses. People that think they will get more respect if they are given something they havent earned, must first learn to respect themselves, then they will be more likely to earn some respect from others. Remember respect is earned, not given away just because you want it.

Honestly I dont care about what rank badge I have, the rank badge has nothing to do with how strong or weak a ship is.

 

Ranks are crazy to get atm lol, basic major for me is 603k where as in the other company major is 596k?? ranks are too hard and i lvoe playing for ranks lol

 

You could take the rank badges completely out of the game right this second and it would not affect anything what so ever , only true purpose they serve is as a money maker for bigpoint as lots of players seem to think the better their badge then the greater the player they are which is a load of rubbish really .
Take the top player on gb1 for example he/she/they have probably just spent another £5000 to get mmo general when it does not even offer any benefits that a basic space pilot does not get !
Yes i agree its nice to have a good looking badge on your ship but bigpoint is ripping you all off as those badges do not even give you any kind of bonus or extra rewards for all your effort (BIG LOL)

 

They should take ranks away from all players like me....we don't play anymore so making us basic pilots after month is pointless ...when we come back kill one streuner on next reset we get old ranks back ...

Rank serves only one purpose to make BP money and encourage weak willed players on ego trip to spend...

In old days i have killed every General on my server before i reached captain ,could probably kill those that don't cheat today with ease ,no matter their lf16 or anything....rank has no connection to skill ...whatsoever.

Rank is sign of two things ...long term dedication to game or no lifing it in gates.

 

Ranks are worthless, noobs shouldn't be focusing on ranks anyways, they need to build those ships or continue being cannon fodder for Ufe's, the rank system can't and won't be fixed ever.

 

Before the ranks went really high i used to be a Major but now im a low rank, even tho they dont really matter it makes noobs feel better of themselves on being a gd rank instead of some low rank, either lower it or put in seperate ranks for noobs that are at a certain level or rank atm, when they get passed it they get to climb the next lot of ranks.

 

its gives them something to fight 4 no1 said it would be easy
