Drone formations in Trade?

So, when this new trade came along, the D.O. creator himself said everything that can be bought with uri will be in trade.... where are the drone formations...?!?!?

 

why you complaining? drone formations are easy enough to get anyway. not to mention theres 2 formations you can get for creds

 

I think he said that it would be possible to put everything in the trade with the remake, not sure if he said they actually would. Although don't quote me on that, just saying that from memory.

I know there was a sort of vote on putting LF-4 or drone designs in and most people said they would be annoyed if they went in trade, but as for drone formations, I personally think they would be worth putting in on the weekly auction.

 

The only way that vote would get that result is if BP used Diebold electronic voting machines, a bit like what the americans used to get George Bush junior elected

 

It was done by asking for peoples opinions, not a poll, that's why I said a "sort of vote". Most people wrote in their posts that they didn't want them in trade.

I know it's popular to bash on BP but it was the player's choice not to have LF-4 in trade, not DarkOrbit's.

 

As for lf-4 being in auction No i dont really like that idea although i guess it would be a little easier to obtain. As for Drone formations i would love them to be in auctions, people saying they would be annoyed by this and others saying they already are easy to obtain if they are so easy to get why are you against them being added?

 

100k uri for a moth formation… thats not easy to get for a free player in a FE (old school) Vengy...

And just to confirm, BP said everything that can be bought directly for uri without chance (so not the LF4 but deco the formations) would be there…

Even tho i'd probably not have enuff credits anyway

 

How was it the players choice?
The majority of players still need LF4s, there was plenty say LF4s in trade was a good idea.
In fact many have been saying since they came out, they should be available in the original hourly trade.

It was a hand full of UFE WW that did not want LF4s in trade. As the only think DO seem to care about is money not the quality of the game, they decided not add them, I guess so as to not rock the boat with WW.

The English and German community team posted that they were still thinking about LF4 and wanted the road map to be used as feedback. Some said they wanted LF4 in trade, some said they didn't, in the end it was decided not to. So yes, I do think the player's had a influence on the outcome, maybe I was wrong in saying the majority but you are more than welcome to go to every language forum and count the for and against. However with that said, just because the majority asks for it, doesn't mean the majority has the best argument for it.

Of course you can always say that they never even considered it in the first place and they just said they were thinking about it to give players hope, but that will always just be "in your cynical opinion".
For the record I wanted LF4 in trade, so if you are going to say I hold DarkOrbit as some sort of utopia in gaming again you can just drop it.

Now, are you going to run this thread into the ground too or can we just have our opinions on the matter? You have your forever cynical view and I'll stick with my own, that okay?

Which is total different.

Some said they wanted LF4 in trade, some said they didn't, is much closer to reality.

So your first post which I question was not reflecting reality, as it was suggesting the players chose, which was not true.

The decisions made have little to do with what players say they want to see happen.

I say in my cynical view because I do not have prof other than what we see happening. With historic evidence to suggest that is how it still is.

It is not about bashing DO it is about reflecting reality.

I would say we are still seeing decisions based on getting high income from a handful of high spenders, rather than turning the game around and making it a fairer more even game for all.

We only need to look at the bot ban:-
For years the majority of players wanted botters banned as per the T&C. You only need to look at the bot thread and producers threads in the old forum.

When they were finally band it was for 72hrs with them only loosing upgrades and bio which was so obviously a commercial decision. Rather than punishing the cheats.

 

You two are currently far more entertaining than the game itself...

 

At least these days in the forum we are not subject to censorship from having a negative view of how DO treats its customers.

I would love to be posting positive posts about DO.

Back in 2008 -2009 so many of my friends said I was addicted to DO, back then it was a game of skill and tactics, even the summer games gave an advantage to the weaker ships.
Now it is little better than a farming game for macho egotistical naive WWs.

There is still some fun to be had occasionally playing DO but the days of:-( as advertised )

Is long gone ( not that there was ever even close to " over 80 million active players blast off each and every day. " but that just show DO will post what ever propaganda will aid the profit margin.

It would be fun to play the game again, that I dedicated far too many hour to.

I believe DO will total eradicate all cheats especial battle cheats;

when they change the landing page to reflect the game as it is now ( in my cynical view):-
Come play a farming game, pretending to be a space war game, where ego is always evident and no matter how much you spend even after a few K hours of game play and a few £/$K you still have no chance of reaching the top ranks.
We will make it easy for you after spending a few £/$K to get to the top 200 but then you have to spend uber money after that.

Then we will see drone formations in the hourly auction along with every other item.

 

well i got all my things with uri.. so why not drone formations for creds next lf4 Weeee... can i get my dollers back if i bid on the trade??

Now that is not a fair reply, you choice to get those things with uri as you can only get'em with uri weather you brought it with $$ to get designs or you saved yourd 1 uri to get the drone designs, because people have saved 100k uri it should not make much of a plot to put them in the auction , lf4 are a bit different. Just because people pay for this game does not mean you should be the only ones to get items that directly correlate with PvP which is unfair advantage as it is.

 

I doubt so that everything that costs uridium will go on the Auction. It was just a gesture of talking and he most probably didn't mean it literally.

Though if that ever happened, BigPoint would have to shut down the game as everyone would be just farming credits and just bidding all the time.

 

Not true 75% of the products were in Auction before the new items were added and the game was doing just fine. The problem is NOT the items they added. IT is HOW RARE each one is the NUMBER we need and the fact it DIRECTLY effects PvP
