again, support fails epicly to give a full and proper amount of information on an event.
many players that ive talked to are saying "what the hell is this event? what the hell are these "beacons"?"

yea noone knows what any of the rewards are, or what the point is, all i know is the quests are very hard and annoying but pay out good

Thank you Pacman, I did indeed overlook that and it has been corrected. I do understand the frustrations here, we are also ourselves waiting for some clarifications of the specifics of this new event which we hope to have available very soon. As much info as even we are provided, when thousands of players start to look closely at an event, it is almost inevitable that details will be examined or concerns raised that are simply beyond the scope of the original testing and FAQ's.

In an ideal world every nuance and detail would be covered from the start, but I personally think that is near impossible as the reality is there will always be some things which need us as a community to vet out. The point of it, beyond the prizes, is to simply have fun with the game, your clan, and participate in a new event, tho I may be a bit naive there, that is how I myself enjoy the game.

Terrible event, terrible quests, we actually had a little joke on vent before we knew anything about it saying the company reward is going to be EP / HON / RES boosts.

Turned out we were right! This was hilarious, shocking and disappointing all at the same time.

Oh and they changed the group gate back to how it was just to make things worse... Was making 10k uri in 10 minutes in there and a MOD said it worked AS INTENDED and then suddenly support said they changed it because it didn't work as intended, what they missed out was the fact that it was removed so we are once again forced to spend.

Off I go to my other game.

Bigpoint I must admit the game was good again and the fun was good while it lasted, but a leopard can't change its spots.

That said, I will always care about the game which is why I am still here voicing my opinion in the hope that someone listens.

 

Many of use that was lucky enough to have experienced DO at its best ( before BIO), still hold a torch to that game. The game we spend so much time appreciating the community spirit, sense of fair play, and team work;
for most appreciating the respect we had for the unwritten rules, the banter in chat and friends we met from playing this once great game.

 

Yup that old D.O. is still my favourite game of all time and just wish we could have an ounce of that game back that's why it is important to voice opinion, hopefully these threads are being read but I doubt it.

i love how Drk Orbit lies to us like we cant tell they're lying. the event thread he posted wasnt available til the day after the event started. and he says stupid stuff about nuances and not everything being addressable. what world do you live in, hyp? obviously not one that exists on a professional level. ie been playing since this game wasnt owned by dakr orbit. i was one of the first FIVE ppl to get approved for alpha. sitll have the downloadable on a flash drive. and ive seen lies after lies after customer dissatisfaction after players leaving the game after huge ammounts of frustration after another. its ridiculous.
for instance: an electrician doesnt walk into a new construction sight and NOT read the plans the electrical engineer made so that everyone knows what to do. its just not done. but that seems to be dark orbit supports modus opperandi. to not read the blueprints, and jump feet first into a lions den.
did u even bother to bring the first aid kit for that lions den? or did yall leave it at home with the spear and the "get a clue" idea that popped in your heads saying it might not be so bright to jump without looking?
here's my point: i'm starting an event, i'm telling all these techies to set the programming for it. now i'm thinking "gee, what should i tell the player about this?"
what im not thinking is waiting for the day after to put any info out about it, and HOPE that players who kiss supports ass enough that get the info first, will spread it to the rest. no, im not thinking that at all.
on a professional lvl, im thinking "ok, im going to have forums post ALL relevant inormation BEFORE the event even starts. that ways everyone has plenty of time to plan and think about it."
thats what im thinking.

here I agree with you .I made lots of friends .and yeah it was better before bio.but I liked it when it was introduced . ww got it faster .I did . but everybody else got it . just slower . I spent money on rebate and premium to get it and sometimes bought some uridium .so not that much of a ww back then .but still counted a lot .. anyway .I liked the game best until 2011.after the chance was introduced .that's when it started going downhill fast

 

the event is stupid it should be 100 points for a win in tdm or sector control there is no point in doing npcs or hunting wonder which rocket scientist thought of 50k points lol anyway i feel im being punished for getting to lvl 20 as i dont get the event quests im a free player apart from prem but that is cancel now and wont be getting it again till game improves.

was disappointed that there was no easter egg boxes this year was hoping that there would be decent stuff in they got rid of alot of botters but no eggs at all so just show the direction D.O is going

also still waiting on that ammo cap to be removed they said back in november they were looking into removing it in the next month or 2 its now nearly may does D.O run in a different time scale.

to Raveman: MMO took over number one company rank for a reaso. it's because we're more proactive. dont blame mmo for eic and vru not getting their rumps into it.
to alky:i was dissappointed too in DO not putting out the eggs. every year i've been on (since 2006) has had eggs. this one time they robbed us of one of our favorite things was a real bummer. i also agree the ammo cap was a really phenylkeronuriac thing to do.

please tone down a bit with how you phrase your complaints.
