  1. So, i just have a simple, kind of question, probably going to get different answers and debates on this but i'm curious.

Electro-Optics increases hit probability, so would the mean if say max i hit 40k on speed config, and without it maxed out i tend to hit 36-38k most of the time, if i were to max that out, wouldn't i see 40k more often? It would mean all lasers technically hit better in probability right?

Just curious, i have 3/5 right now, not sure on it all just yet.

  2. Electro-Optics makes your lasers hit more often. In other words, you will get the 'miss' message less often when shooting npcs/players with lasers.

  3. I know that much, but since all lasers technically have a hit probability, which is why we go from 36k-40k dmg during fights, i was wondering if i would see my higher dmg more often with the lasers missing less.

  4. I have it at 3/5 as well, but didn't notice any differences except for seeing 'miss' less often. Might have overlooked it tho.

  5. The answer to this is somewhat a dubious one.

I say this because there is a slight increase in hit probability percentage, but you would have to count the hits into the thousands to notice the increase. However, attaining the maximum damage more often it very tricky. All you see, in the long run, are less "miss".

If you really want to hit more often, then use the targeting guidance cpu. however, as this uses Xenomit, I would advise to mainly use it when hunting.

I think it means the overall miss thing where all lasers miss the same shot. The only reason I say that is because electro optics used to make shots colour that would have missed without it blue.
However that was a while ago so will be worth just have it confirmed for sure, I would quite like to see an official answer on it anyway.

  7. I usually do use it now when i hunt, but i blew through 90k of it last time i used it.... at about 30k now.
Yeah i just assumed, with it increasing the hit probability, maybe it worked on all lasers so say if you have 20 on, and 5 miss, the hit probability increasing would make those 5 miss less often too, and you'd see your higher dmg more often compared to the lower dmg hits you get out.

I can see an admin coming in here wondering the same thing, i hope we can get a good reply on this, i'm quite curious.

  8. Hello º¤»ĐЯΣΔΜ◊†◊ÐΣМΦИ«¤º

Thank you all for assisting with this thread.

Only the hit probability will increase which mean you will inflict more damage.
Actually you answered your own question in last post.

Do you (the original poster) have any further questions or can we close?

Well I'm still confused. Does it make your laser shot more likely to hit = see miss less often, or does it make the shots that do it closer to the max damage?

Does it work the same for the targetting guidance cpu?

"Only the hit probability will increase" seems to suggest the opposite of what dream demon was suggesting, which was how I thought the targetting guidance cpu worked until someone said it just makes "miss" happen less often.

  10. Poseidon there is some user going around spamming threads with a suspicious link. Can you make sure it's not re-occurring please, players come to this forum and expect a clean and safe forum that shouldn't have any threats to peoples accounts.

  12. Oh I get what it means, lets say you have 20 lf3 lasers. The total damage it will make is 3000, if in 20 lf3 lasers 5 of them miss it will cause 2250 damage but with electro optics the probability that a 20 lf3 lasers miss reduce.. Is that right?

  13. to put it simply when you hit all lasers are hitting when you miss all lasers miss. the difference in range of hits say 36k to 42k doesn't mean any lasers are missing so all Eletro optics does is make all your lasers miss less. Your lasers range from around 75 percent to 100 percent power when they are hitting hence the diffenence in each shot.

when 1 laser will miss they all will miss. It doesn't work like say you have 30 laser and 5 miss that isn't how it goes.
