Hey Big Point, I have an idea for you. RAISE THE AGE LIMIT REQUIRED TO PLAY DARK ORBIT! Some of us cant handle not swearing at people and its getting a bit annoying! Your need to realize we are humans and not dogs that you can just bat around if we do something wrong. Either Raise the age limit or stop banning us because we swear. It's in human nature to swear and if parents don't want their kids seen swearing then THEY SHOULDN'T LET THEM PLAY THE GAME! Besides, People find easy ways around the chat filter and channel admins anyways so the kids aren't being and less exposed to swearing as if the chat filters were off. Thank you for reading and let us swear(Be human)

 

I kinda agree, but there doesn't need to be an age limit, i mean seriously, i see the 10 year old cussing in chat 24/7. And if we somewhat bleep out the word, unless the know what is is, no way they can be upset with seeing it.

 

Agreed, Big Point is actually taking away basic natural human rights. I know of no human either, big, small, young, old, Religious that doesn't swear. even people who vow not to swear... swear. we can't even put in chat some swear words that younger people don't even know.. we cant even put a "*" without being chat banned.

 

Plus sometimes we accidentally misspell a word, and end up banned, or we forget a letter in a word, say i was saying "oh of ???" but i said "oh f ???" i end up chat banned 6 hours. it's ridiculous.

 

Well you know, there's this neat thing called, quit swearing in the chat. Try it sometime. Swearing is not in human nature; it's something you learn to do from others and it's not ethical. I agree with banning people who swear. How about they lower the age limit and raise the filter?

Well taser.. if you want people to get the hint that your mad you cant call them a hooligan... It makes you sound like your 95 years old.. I mean atleast they should lower it a little bit.. Even putting a *** gets for banned for 6h+.. kids dont know that *** is. geez.. it could me "the" or "pig" or "car". Its crazy! you cant put "f" which could be "Fudge" "Flat" "For" Etc.. They need to atleast stop banning for things like that. You can atleast agree to that

 

I also have an idea... Get around the system yourself.

I am pretty sure BipPoint knows the age percentage of people who play is:
1-12 -=1%=-
13-17 -=49%=-
18+ -=50%=-

I am sure they have legal reasons towards this idea...

 

Just for the record, you can't bring legal action against a company because they won't let you curse. It's their business and they reserve that right.
Doing that would be like me going to my boss and telling him I'll sue him if he doesn't let me talk how I want. I'd get fired because it's his company and he can tell whoever comes in there how to talk or dress. At least in DO, you only get banned for a bit lol.
I've never gotten a 6 hour ban, but I've gotten one hour bans for calling people jerks or turks(really don't get that one) which is pretty ridiculous considering you can call someone an ass in chat.

Who cares how old you are online As for flat or fudge, never been banned for those xD. When you combine f and u you should get banned, but not just for f.

 

To the idea, how about no.

Wait so me being called a "REMOVED" (happened a year or so ago in chat), blacks being called the n word, gays being called the f word and so on is ok because restricting the use of words is against human rights?

Also you will not get far in real life with that way of thinking maybe minimum wage for a few weeks but not much more.

Also it is a game and you are getting raving mad over it. You really need to look at your life and what is causing you to be so angry. Cause i see multiple heart attacks in the next few years maybe even death if a simple game makes you angry. Try stop playing games so much and go outside to civilization and make real friends and play real games together.

Some of use would love to express what we feel, how we feel, when we feel it, but we should and do, consider the community that we are A part of.

Most Animals do not have the ability to control there reactions. Humans in the most part have that ability.

It is only human nature to swear, if it was acceptable when you was growing up. My parent swear so I do also, but I try my best to not perpetuate that, so try my best not to swear in front of younger people.

I swear I will pop you, when I see you in the game, just to say;
stop swearing when it is inappropriate.

 

Some things should be blocked for damn sure. But if im in chat and someone dies and says REMOVED i dieD" There is nothing wrong with that, and if a child knows what the word is still then who the hell cares if we said it, cause it means they use it or they hear it all the time and don't care.


But hey, let me point something out. You think DO bad? a game i every now and then play, will 2 hour chat ban you for saying "Damn"

 

I would agree that the use of "***", should not incur the same punishment as posting the actual word/s.

What is sad is;
those that use anomalous characters in an attempt to avoid the detection get away with it.

while other that try hard to respect that it is not best seem by young players, get penalised for not cheating the chat filters.

 

Funny thing is, it's mainly the young ones running their mouths, cause they feel big online, they have to toss bad words down. But when one of us say it, "People of all ages play" yeah, those ages you're talking about, do it 10x more then us.

 

And I bet walking into a crowded Library and screaming obscenities and swear words isn't bad either.

Its the same situation, if a mother had her little kid in the library as you started to curse and swear, I really don't think the Librarian would turn around and say:

"Your own fault for bringing your 5 year old kid here in the first place"...

As we all know, boys love their toys, so young boys will love to play something like DarkOrbit, whether they get popped or not, its fun to them.

There will be no way DO could possibly stop younger players getting on the game.

Even if we ratted out the "underage" players, support would probably say we became Expert MultiMedia Video Editors overnight -_-.

Seems like you guys don't get the point.. Big Points doesn't let you speak your own language or even put capital words in chat... They only don't want you speaking foreign languages because chat admins cant kick/bann people for saying words they don't know. Solution put in a chat filter that filters more than english

It isnt the same situation.. Libraries are quiet .. How come downloadable games don't restrict there chat so you cant speak Spanish or put caps in chat? Maybe because Big Point has gone too far with their chat Filters/Banns. They even put admins in chat who can easily abuse their power.

 

Boohoo. Quit cursing on chat and you'll be fine. I've only ever been banned twice and it was over something ridiculous like me telling someone to stuff it when they were bragging and calling another guy a jerk.
