DarkOrbit Unloaded

Wow Lots has changed.

Hi,

I see lots has changed since 2 years ago. New forums, new UI and everything. I haven't been able to log into game yet to test everything out to see what is what. So is DarkOrbit Unloaded a new DArkorbit game or Just a new name for an old game?

What makes it so different?

How is the activity of the game now? Is the PVPVE and combat system of the game any different than what it used to be?

Some of the bigger changes that are part of the "reloaded" re-branding:

• Reduction of bots - pretty much only see palladium botters now; all packet bots have stopped.
• New auction - can buy Aegis, Citadel, Spearhead with respective designs as well as goli skill designs, all for credits.
• New starter quests that give some lf3 a couple of b02 and enough uri to get a leonov.
• New Quest system that goes up to lv20 now.

Some changes that we have been given hints too:

• 3D mode
• Increase in advertisement for the game.

Probably some I missed but here is a couple of interviews that were done which highlight some stuff in more detail and get the opinions of RickDekard such as this one.


Honestly the best thing I can say is just have a go at playing the game again and decide for yourself if you think any of the changes are good or bad.
There is a little problem right now on the forums of people who haven't played in months but still come and comment on threads giving their opinion about changes they have never even used.

 

Do you personally think the game is improving? Because when I left, everything was just going chaotic with new updates that everyone hated.

 

The game is more about farming Npc's and being farmed by Ufe's then actual PvP lol.

 

I do personally yes as someone who is still active, there was a recent update to do with the LoW gate which was questionable but on a whole I think DO is improving, still a long way to go but it's now going in the right direction.
I think it will be a long process, especially to get the game active again but I can see it happening over the course of a year or so.

However it is just my opinion on the matter, as I said just try it out for yourself to get a feel of what it's like now.

 

lol Same as ever. Still a Grinding game I guess. There isnt a story line still?

 

The new quest system has a story line and that is the games story line now.
