noob friendly game

ive juststaingrted and im not whineing but the way its set up a new player cant do much when hegh levels go about farming them. it makes it so people dont want to play this agme you need some form of diminishing returns for repeatedley killing noobs as soon as they get out of their first maps. Gate and sitting and such . who wants to play a game here all you do is fly out of the first 2 maps and get blasted by guys you cant even scratch . and you think some one would pay to play this game .... personally thats my thought . i'll try a coiple more days but then i'll find a game i can join not one that discourages new players .....nuff said.

There is a diminished returns system in place where u start getting less rewards after the 5th kill but BP in their infinite wisdom have specific quests for killing noob ships in noob maps. Some players don't hunt hoobs but some of the quests that require a lot of kills are hard to complete when there's so few players on the maps.

On the server I play it's going to take a while I think for the latest 500 vengi kills to get completed without looking in the lower maps.

For new players the best advice is to get yourself a leonov ship from auction and stick to lower maps. There are quests to pop leos but you will be more of a target in a vengi or goli and chances are you will be stronger in the leo if you put your best equipment on the ship not on the drones.

Good luck, hope you stick around but understand 100% if you quit for a game that is more balanced for new players.

 

I would suggest you find a clan and run in bigger group.
Find a clan that if you are active they will help you with credits for some survival gear.

Finding a clan will help. Make sure you ask in the chat and also try your best to find another ship your size and that's on the same times as you so you can work on quest together.

 

And btw Try to ask some FE players for help, FE players are mostly free. but not the UEs lol, we're busy hunting 24/7, and don't do Capture The beacon, just hunt npcs, While the FEs and UEs die defending the beacon, you're happily hunting npcs and earning 3 k uri per hour and btw stick to the phoenix for as long as you can, yea now ship repairs are free, but phoenixes have a lesser chance of becoming prey to enemy players. Try to stay in x-2 for as long as you can too

 

try a new tactic mate
lvl up your skylab
get credits by sell promerium from skylab to base
use auction & ...
get venge - fill it up with engines that give +10 speed each
fill it up with flax - fill the flax with shleilds
fill engins with promerium
then each time u see enemy run strate to ur gate
this way you will have way better luck to survive

leave goliath for later when you will ne strong - goli is to slow for now mate

 

Don't follow his advice , get the leo first. 6 speed gens + x2 bonus = 12 , so faster than venge. and leo should make you hit harder than venge and more shields. Only buy 5 flax, its a waste of money to buy more than 5. Yeah upgrade speed generators with promerium, upgrade your skylab to lvl 20 as fast as you can. When you see an enemy just run, don't shoot back. And btw get leonov from auction.

--leonov more shields than venge ???? why ? leonov bonus on generators applied ONLY to generators that are IN ship and NOT on iris/flax ... so if u put generators on ship the leonov gets too slow

Stop giving useless advices, And yes leo has more shields and damage than venge, leo is better for his status.Play more, and stop giving useless ideas. In lowers, an FE leo can easily burn an FE venge. 6 x2 = 12 lasers, venge only 10 lasers. 6 x2 = 12 shields, venge only 10 shields, use your tiny brain next time. So you're saying that leo bonus only applies to bonus on ship not on drones, what about venge, so vengies give bonus on drones? At his current status, he has no way of escaping from an UFE, once an UE just looks at him, he's smoked.

 

Guys, stop it. This is just what a new guy needs, two people fighting over what he should do lol. For the record, leonov bonus only applies to shields and lasers put on the ship, not the drones. Also, the engines are not doubled. Leo in lowers has a base speed of 380+60=440 speed. Vengi has a base of 380+10=480. The vengeance is definitely faster but the leonov is probably more useful because of its double damage(on 6 lasers) I guess it's your prerogative as to which ship is better for starting, but I would recommend staying out of the bigboy or trying to get a goli. Easy game.

You've got it a lot better than I did a year ago starting, but it's still hard. Work and perseverance, hoping that someday, you'll be able to wipe the floor with those noob hunting losers(or at least that's what keeps me going)

 

Guess I will chime in here and tell you they have made the name more NOOB friendly over the years. When I first started playing there was obviously a lot less stuff and no upper maps ect ect. However, ALL MAPS were hunting maps. If you were off base you were a FREE target. In the years things have obviously progressed and more and more things have been added. Ships are under attack protection from ships till the reach a certain level. Which means you can be in any of the lower maps and a FE ship can not kill you. The same also goes for your x1 maps an enemy can not attack you in YOUR x1 map unless you shoot them first (which honestly why would you do it)!.. So you want my advice for a noob is this..

1) Find a clan that helps noob players
2) Box when and often as you can
3) Start to build you skylab early
4) use your skylab for credits as well
5) Stick with building each ship up to FE
For example:

• Phoenix (aka Peanut) fill it with lf3's and bo2's stay in that ship until you have filled the ship with bo2's and lf3's
  
• Next, move to the leonov fill your ship with lf3's and bo2's stay in that ship until have filled it complete.
  
• In the mean time work on getting your irises. When you get those fill those with bo2's and lf3's.

As I mentioned in number 1) getting a clan to help you with getting your irises and building your ship to FE.

Yes, I do understand this is the longer way to do it. ECT ECT. However, you will not be overwhelmed with trying to build all the way up to FE items all at once!!!

Good luck and stick with it, it gets easier as the time goes by.

 

Move straight into a leo, Get all CPU, get turtle formation and then smash everything with rockets.....

1st - credits are worth it only for auction - auction has so few important items for big ships - so credits are important almost only for non full elite ships - especialy in case that u want credits from clan this applies only to noob players
2nt if u think i am botter cause i box 10k uri per hour then u are utterly noob - just for ur information its normal for a player to get 21k uri per hour by boxing - i will not tell u how - ask another botter - lol

check it and u will see that 21k uri per hour is a valid amount
