Making it easier the easy way?

  1. I put this here because we all know there's issues with this game. A major one I believe is the fe-ufe gap that many complain about. I'd like to see some input on this and hopefully it can get somewhere. Here's a few facts about the game.

    Cost for getting fe(or at least my definition of it) How the game used to be
    31 LF3=310,000 uridium 16 B02=160,000 uridium
    15 G3N=30,000 uridium Goliath=80,000 uridium
    8 Iris's=647,000 uridium
    Total=1,227,000 uridium
    That is approximately $130 on a MHH.

    Cost of getting ufe(once again my definition) How it is now
    35(level 16) LF4=8,400,000 uridium*
    35(level 16) B02=3,340,000 uridium*
    Apis and Zeus drones=0 uridium*
    The last 35 pilot points=10,189,200 uridium*
    Skill design=250,000 uridium*
    Total=22,179,200 uridium
    That is approximately $2,250 on MHH.

    *With the LF4s, I assumed a rate of 1 in 100 out of the booty keys instead of compiling the average percent chance in the gates and then figuring that out. Also for the upgrades, I took an average cost of 90k to get to level 16 instead of the actual 104k(at 100%) because it can vary so much.

    *B02s, already had 16 from being fe so only needed 19 more.

    *Apis and Zeus are assumed to have been gathered from the 3,500 booty keys.

    *Also assumed 15 pilot points from the keys and random other log disks.

    *It's just my assumption, but I figure you need a skill design to be ufe.

    I missed a whole lot of stuff here, but I figured 22mil was a high enough price. There's still pet, hangar halls, new ships, every new design that comes out once a year, drone formations, ammo needed every week, and galaxy gates(expensivo!) ect.
     
  2. A lot of games give a daily bonus to game currency/ep gained for a certain amount of time each day. For example, we could have a Bonus Hour every day which is triggered from the first time you log in each day, where we gain something along the lines of:

    More Uridium from NPC
    More EP/Honour
    More Credits
    etc.

    Not sure how much more but something to give a better incentive than the useless daily login bonus with its annoying pop up.

    This would increase the amount of people online as even people who aren't that interested would want to log in and take advantage of this for an hour.
     
  3. the only problem that i see here are 2
    1. the player that give real money is able to get huge advantage vs free to play player
    2. the botter years created many ufe ships .. many of them are still around

    i think that increase uridium gain is not a solution
    for example .. if ALL players gain maximum 500 uridium per day this is not a problem since we ALL get maximum 500 uri
    solution is BP to manage to keep game balanced
     
  4. Yes, I think so. So I agree with all of you.
    So as TheTaser(V) calculates the price, all the stuff costs about 10,000$ with MHH.

    I think as a newcomer, I will be shocked how high the prices are.
     
  5. uri on npc should go up but not by 50% there is other online games i play and the prices are a hell of alot more then dark orbits part of teh game is playign but u lot want to get ufe in a month then what ya gonna do spend loads more just to buy ammo just play the game and stop bin lazy
     
  6. I try to be one of the least lazy players on this game. I don't play that often, but when I'm on, I maximize my time. 560 hours and I've built up pretty well(still years to go till ufe)
    My point with doubling the uridium in the npcs is that you have to work to kill those still. Also, their content has remained the exact same since the beginning when you only needed 1mil uri to be tops. Why keep it the same when it's at least 20 times longer/harder to reach the top now? What is doubling the uridium in npcs really gonna do? I believe you'll see more people on. It certainly won't make people ufe in one month, and it will benefit every last player who's killing them from starter to maxed out.

    Doubling the uri in NPCs gives everyone an opportunity to make more uri.

  8. I say double the uri in NPCs. Either that, or make HH and MHH bonuses count for NPC-gained uri as well (so on HH a Kristallon would give 256 uri for the hour and 384 on MHH)

    double the uri in NPCs . they have to .its been the same since the beginning. stuff is so much more expensive now and they should double the rewards ..

  11. This game has too much of a bad reputation now so the only solution will be something drastic. The changes we have had from August to March have been a good start but as we can all see, it brought people in for short term as they did their new quests, and now they are all disappearing again.

    I still think something cool like GOOD daily quests with high rewards will be a way forward, for example daily battle maps quests would be a fun incentive to actually use the maps, provided the rewards were good.
     
  12. New quests that are actually fun and rewarding! Half prices on FE items, doubling uridium of Npc's might be good but if that was done for cubes, advanced players would build quicker, not a bad thing I suppose, probably lead to more hostility over cubes though.

  13. Why not half price for ufe items? Honestly, getting fe is ridiculously easy and getting ufe takes years.
    That's the point. As I said previously, the price for getting to the top nowadays is 20x higher than it used to be. Only doubling the uridium is kind of small when you look at it that way, but hey, gotta get a good start somewhere. They wanna reload? They've gotta do something drastic. Not these piece of junk quests with no rewards and some influence event...seriously.

    by boxing u can get
    • 4.000 uri as a new player and
    • 10.000 uri as an average player with pet
    AT LEAST per hour
    without count gg spins u get same time free
    give also BP a small amount of euro per 2 months and get double bonus box and double the amounts told before
    WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED ???????
    if u become ufe in 3 months there is nothing nice in it

    PLZ ALL BECOME MORE SERIOUS
    (for everyone wondering .. i am a total free player)

  15. FE items and some more harder to attain items, the main UFE items maybe could use a budge on price or the damn gates could be fixed but that won't happen.
     
  16. The problem is Bigpoint painted themselves into a corner, raising the bar higher and higher, the costs higher and higher. This allowed for extended growth but at the cost of raising the bar so high a new player coming in cannot even see the competitive end of the road. And that runs new players off.

    I have 4 LF-4's. Based on my play style I'll have a complete set 30 years after I'm dead. Most new players coming in want to play a game not begin an internet version of a life's quest.
     
    I make 5k per hour while boxing. Let's say I play two hours a day. 10k uri after 3 months means I have 900,000 uridium...uh, where are you getting that I'll get ufe in 3 months? 20mil/900k= another 66 months to go. Yep, boxing is gonna make us all ufe in 3 months.
    I'm being a little facetious here, but every top player says boxing is the way to go. First of all, I don't find it fun and I play this game for fun. Second of all, it's not economical when I'm making so little. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I used to box in 4-3 with my spearhead and got about 5k uri per hour with my pet.
     
  17. 1st i did say u will be ufe in 3 months
    2nt i get about 11k uri per hour + about 55 gg spins
    3rd i play since 2009 i am NOT yet ufe
    u must have pasient in this game mate - if u do not pay of change game .. sorry this is BP and me personal like this way (except boters & hackers ;) )
     
  18. I voted for lowering the price of items in-game because lowering uridium prices benefites wallet warriors only and making npcs give more uridium doesn't really do anything at all.
     
  19. It does a lot if you do more than get on and sell mins. It will make the game more active if people have a real incentive to actually play and not just pop on and off again.
