Pirates dropping Pally?

If BP just came in game and spent 1 week trying to build a galaxy gate like people who cannot afford to buy the gate parts they would realise how much it drags and how boring it gets and I know people who have stopped playing after sitting in pally for days on end because they simply lose the will to play the game.

    So it says it all in the title. As some of the smaller wallet players know; Sitting in pally day in day out to build just one gate can take quite some time unless you get pretty lucky. My idea is simply put that pirates drop pally in their cargo. So this can be in all pirate maps or just 5-3 or 5-2 or 5-1.

    This idea could work like the stronger the npc the more it drops. So inters could drop 1 or 2 (all numbers can vary to popular vote), Barras 4 or 5, sabs 6 or 7 and annis 9 or 10.

    Pally use to be just about bare-able but since on a lot of servers people have stopped following the unwritten rule of "everyone is friendly in pally" type thing its getting harder and harder for small wallet people to build gates and get to a competitive state.

    Now thoughts? (preferably disadvantages and advantages)

    I think this is actually a pretty solid idea, the most efficient way of collecting pally would probably still to collect it in 5-3 but this would just be a nice boost as well as an alternative way for players who are getting killed in there as you mentioned.
    This would also give people a reason to kill the pirates and not just dump them on someone else as they fly by ^^

    Also just thinking, maybe there should be a jackpot bounty cargo, so say a .05% chance of a pirate dropping something like 1,000 pally that isn't effected by cargo space?
     
  3. that sounds like a good addition okapi :) Yeh 5-3 fields would still be the best way as I am not trying to replace it: Just give others a better chance of collecting it whether they want to go kill pirates for a bit as they are bored, they keep getting killed in pally by players or people dumping npcs on them and all in all it means people will have more fun doing so. :)

    Capital idea. It's not even equal to one gate spin so not like it's a huge giveaway (from BP's standpoint), but it's a nice little incentive all the same. Why not?
     
  5. See that is what i was looking for. a incentive for weak players and small wallet players to be able to build gates without grinding the pally fields for days. I know personally you can be there a good 4-5 hours filling an aegis with pally to probably not even get a gate open.
     
  6. I say yes on this one. It would help even things out a bit on servers where one company dominates the Pala fields.

  9. I'd say no just because you'd have random palli amounts sitting around on your ship. That personally drives me nuts when someone pops me in 5-3 and I sell with 12 palli left in my bay. It messes with me when I send resources.
    Not a bad idea, but it'd peeve me is all.

    Posted this in another idea thread about a pirate event. It actually makes sense that pirates would drop pally in their cargo but I would remove the pally from the inters. Don't need to give more focus for bray farmers.

Yeh I was thinking that after who or better yet... so the rest of us dont miss out: Just make the bray inters not drop cargo at all :p as for it annoying you taser having odd amounts: you'd just have to do maths different to 1+1 and find out how many barras etc you need for it to equal perfectly with spin exchanges :p
     
  12. It's simple to figure, but takes extra time and for me is a bit of a nuisance. Don't get me wrong, I'd love some extra palli, but just the odd amounts that come means I have to perfectly mesh my numbers up before I log out every time.

  14. Its good idea pirates drop pally:).Its boring sometimes go to pally5-3 and go sell.

    Sitting on 5-3 is like waiting for summer ... such boring :eek:

    And you should go 5-2 ; youshould watch out for Annihilators evrytime. Saboteurs firing slowing rockets , nub Interceptors & Barracudas are surrounding you , and same things in 5-2. And also there is a probability of went-to-boomed by players.

  16. Now first things first: Im loving how much people like this idea :3

    Taser: as I did mention numbers could be negotiable. So they could always set the numbers so that regardless of what you kill: Its pally cargo is a multiple of 15 :) that way it requires very little extra effort. Plus if you dont like the idea the simple thing is: Kill the pirate: dont pick up the cargo :D
     
  17. I think the idea isnt that bad, But how ever i think all aliens above lil lords should have pally cargo. This would cause more action in the lower maps bringing them back alive. And putting a cargo station in a area where it offers no protection. This would force the top guns to protect the lil guy.
     
  18. I mean, i suppose it's alright but i'd work on those numbers a bit. The time it takes to kill the pirates you could get more. And half the people don't even pally. They sit there and let pet do it, or bot it.
