Hitak = Tacky event & yet more pay to play

Well as above,

Hitack event is very poor imo, 9 letters required to get one yes just one measly lottery entry is a sad joke esp when you consider the ammo expended and reward is only a 'Chance' to get a letter for the event. Add the fact that anyone can steal your cargo/chance of a letter for the event and it really is a poor show from BP..

No event boxes either so this one is purely focused on those that have lots of ammo to waste and the option to pay for lottery entries and you can see exactly where this event is going, yet more pay to play events like this that exclude those that cannot or are unable to actually pay..

Admittedly this event is free to enter but I still feel a large majority of players are excluded from participating due to either a lack of ammo, fire power or cash all of which are required to take part. I for one won't be bothering.

Never mind eh, plenty more games out there that aren't as cash orientated as DO who will be getting my patronage in the very near future as they actually cater to their demographic target market of gamers instead of cash money gamblers.

 

The smaller your server the better the event becomes. On gb2 the general feel seems to always be that Hitac is a great event, I've seen complete noobs with barely enough LF-3 to fill their ship get a couple of capsules and then suddenly win the 30 LF-4.

I personally think this is one of the better events. During the Hitac DarkOrbit give out 4,500 lv16 LF-4 across all the servers, and what, this is the 4th or 5th Hitac event?

It's worth sticking at the event.

 

It is a great event even the NPCs give a lot of uri it has actually brought me back online for its duration. Actually probably one of my favourite events.

And I think we play the same server. Although I am popping nmes off it

 

Sadly that's not the case on GB1 most of the time, here its little more than an opportunity for ufe to to have a blast popping pple that are trying to destroy the npc

I can easily boost up and do the same myself but I would prefer to concentrate on the npc but theres little to no point due to opportunist PVP'ers making it a waste of effort.

Add to that the first event was only 5 letters required for each capsule, so roughly half the input for the same potential reward is also less than generous this time around.

I do feel the event has great potential but considering the above it can also be very frustrating too if you don't have the cash to purchase capsules etc

 

Well we do play the same server then and I love the event... PvP and NPC in one, with high rewards and entering the lottery is a bonus

 

I think it's a great event. Played it last time around. Got 25$ worth of tickets and won 30 fully upgraded lf4. Boom.

 

agree with lord on this its just another kick in the teeth for us regular non spending players (used to spend but got a life games far to over priced) ... i could bash the hitacs but tbh i would pop more than i kill due to opportunist pvpers that and nearly ever cargo box is stolen by other players . just another nail in the darkorbit coffin sadly

 

do past lottery entry's carry over to the new lotterys

 

no they don't on the first and second hitac they did now they stopped that but yea best event i play and made 13 caps and got 1mill uri on the last hitac even tho there best reward is fully upgraded lf4s

 

pay to play...all there ever was.

6 capsules for free and 87k uri in only about 2-3 hours play time the event really isn't that bad compared to other stuff bp give us...

Like the non-existent Easter event even though the Hungarians even got to celebrate their revolution on d.o which apparently is more important than Easter -.-

Seriously I have been moaning on here a lot since March about some weird updates on d.o but I can't fault this event.

 

The hitac event Like so much of DO these days focuses on one thing:-

Short term profit at any cost.

If you happen to play on a server with 10 players then you might Do well out of it, ( with ref to an above post without getting into a log winded peripheral debate ).
The event is a DO money spinner;

any participant rewards DO for believing/proving the proverb "a fool and their money is easily parted". But hay this is from someone that does not do the lottery as 18 million to 1 odds, doesn't sound worth while to me.

 

when are the hitaks out? mon-fri 8am to 5pm or what???...I have seen one so far, guess Im not playing at the right time of day. You think it would be a good idea for do to tell us when to expect there events to happen??

 

i bought $100 worth of capsules and got nothing last time on GA1... now i bought 6 capsules lol.

 

I think, that this event would be great, if your cargo couldn't be stolen.
That is part that ruins it, because those thieves benefit most.​

 

And if bots couldn't win, and yes, support said bots can win. Ruins it 100% the event is a rip off to the fair players.

 

The problem on my server is that lesser players can't get near it cause a couple multicompany UFE clans hog it, won't let anyone else on and shoot down anyone who tries to grab it in any map -- including their own company's. US east 1...
We got 2 big clans who war the server all the time...nothing but punks.

 

You obviously don't know how to play this event as a noob if you're trying to get minion cargo!

 

Now do you feel better since you got to vent
