  1. I find it 100% odd, and so do some people i know.

How is it, when i am running from a group of people in the battle maps, and i'm ahead of them, i fly past the port and jump. I automatically stop, (Even if i clicked passed on mini map)

But there are some who hit jump, and continue to fly until they jump through the port. Someone wanna explain this so me? Cause it's a but unfair and ridiculous.

  2. º¤»ĐЯΣΔΜ◊†◊ÐΣМΦИ«¤º It's not about that some people can 'fly longer' because of some tricks or something like that.. It's about internet connection, people with good speedy connection will stop right after hitting 'Jump' a go through tge port, and people with slower, worse conection will also port, but slower, because there is bigger time divide between sending 'port request' to server and receiving it back. And because of that paradox it sometimes looks weird, but actually people who 'stops' have advantage..

  3. ❦Čοlεκ❧ you didnt understand him lol.
ship that stop there can be shoot on, and one that do not stop you can't atack it if it is on full speed coz you can't catch it. it is problem on pvp maps where atack stop jump.

  4. OK, now I understand it clear.. But I think the problem is still on players side, not on BPs, like players often don't have actual versions of java and FP, don't have cache cleared, old PC or some problem with internet connection and that sometimes happen.. It's something like paradox with 2 pets picking pally in the same time. Player+his PET who has better connection and PC condition almost ever pick the pally first..

As glad as i am, you are helping me... I am so lost lol.

Although BØØGΞYMΔИ is right on what i'm having the issue with.

I know i need to get a new modem, but my internet speed is still excellent according to my system mechanics pro.

  6. º¤»ĐЯΣΔΜ◊†◊ÐΣМΦИ«¤º I'm sorry, my fault, it's extremely hard for me to explain anything in English.. :D And it's sad when you realize that DO is 'just' a browser game, but now you need almost special gaming pc for playing it, because of all new graphics, etc..
Btw. DON'T CLICK THE LINK ABOVE

I have noticed that too, but haven't yet grabbed a friend and did some testing, so i am just saying what i think.
If you click on the minimap past the portal and when you reach it you press J and your ship stops it's because jumping overrides the movement to the point clicked on the minimap.
But if you hold your left mouse button down and press J your ship keeps going beacause mousedown is an ongoing event and the key press won't be able to cancel it.

I'll grab a friend tomorrow and test this out, and i'll come back with an edit if this doesn't get sorted by then.

  8. I see stop according to their screen if im using the mouse. Either way, i stop and they catch up and shoot.

  9. The moment you initiate a jump, any movements you make from then on are not reflected on the server, and therefore other players' screens. People that you see flying past after they've clicked jump, are players that clicked where they want to go before they initiated their jump.

Does this make sense to you?

  10. considering 90% of the time i click where i want to go before hand, i still stop for them. yet im still seeing people get out. like the vengie that outran my spearhead today >_>

  11. what i generally do is when i reach port, i press j and then click on the screen, and not on the mini map, to fly ahead. it has worked for me and i dont stop once i press j. maybe that could work for you.

  12. Click and hold the game screen as you move, don't use the minimap to move. Usually when I use the minimap people behind me can shoot me further away than when I click on a blank space to move.

When you jump port, BEFORE jumping, click and hold a blank space on the screen to move and press J while doing so (in my case I usually slam J a million times lol), and don't let go of it until you can see yourself leaving the map. As you enter the next map, keep rapidly clicking the game screen (make sure you don't accidentally click that STUPID jump button they placed for no reason) and you will start moving earlier than if you wait for the map to load (this means is you have a rubbish connection it doesn't make it so bad).

I wouldn't call it a bug I think it is just all about connection and about learning to do it the right way. It has been like this for many many years.

Hi º¤»ĐЯΣΔΜ◊†◊ÐΣМΦИ«¤º, I have been on both end of this issue that has been around for a very long time now. Considering before we had so many issues with port jumping I could guarantee making a port jump with 10k shield and 3k hp. I would guess that the house favours the chaser.
The only thing you can do ( not that it makes much difference) is click the main screen beyond the gate just before you jump.

I do the same, if you think you lagging just take the pet out and see if its follows you, if it stays behind too much then you lagging lol
