big boy idea's

  1. hi its pepsi

    can you put more lazers slots in a big boy to give it more fire power it lacks in that area and possible more gengerator slots too.

    I love my big boy but it not the same as the fire power of a vengi or a goli so a big boy needs more slots in it to improve it .
    Also more designs for the big boy too that would be great.

    lol yeah we like :) dmg design and shd designs too? also cargo bonus design mbe ?
    spent mne happy hours in me bigboy :)

    That's because it's a bigboy. If you gave it the same power as a vengi or goli then those ships would be in theory worth less.
    The bigboy is priced at 200k credits for a reason ...

    If you then argue that the nostromo has desgins that make it stronger than the venge then that means the bigboy design that made it stronger than a venge or goli would have to be equally hard to get, in which case most people would complain that they couldn't get it.

    I don't think bigboys need or should get firepower to make it level with a venge or goli.
     
  5. I also think it's bad idea to add more lasers or generators to BB.
    But it wouldn't hurt to gave it design, that gives +5% firepower, because Vengeance and Goliath has already similar designs too.
    It wouldn't make it equal with elite ships.

  7. I agree with the added firepower damage. but I dont think enough people use big boy and I think the damage designs are only for ships that cost uri no?
     
  8. I think, that it's not really necessary to have damage design's to credit ships (I just happened to have pic of one.), but what they really would need, is little more protection.
    (Shield and/or Hitpoint designs.)
    Why i think, it would be needed, is because...
    When game has evolved in time, lots of new elite stuff has added.
    (LF4, Hercules, Havoc, Apis and Zeus + Now new even more powerful goliath design.)

    There isn't too much protection for newbies.
    On top of that i think, that credit ship's has become too rare in orbit. there is also missions, where you need to kill credit ships, but in many servers they are almost extincted, because it's easy to get elite ship. And top of that i think at the moment credit ship's are mostly useless, because they don't have anything special.

     
  9. Yes, I totally agree with -AdamantiumDragon-, the way which credit ships should be improved, isn't firepower, but defense..

    A bigboy is supposed to be weak, it's for noobie players until they get a Vengy/Goli.
     
  12. It is weak and will stay that way even if it get's shield designs.

    I personally think, that its bad thing, that game has so many ships, that no-one uses, because they are crap. There shouldn't be ships, that are as useless as most credit ships are currently.
    Therefore they need improving or just remove most of them and make new uri ships.
    But i think first one is better solution.

  14. I didn't say, that they should be all removed, or that it would be only solution.
    I did propose as 1st solution something else.

    When i started the game, i didn't need any other ships but BigBoy or Nostromo, and Phoenix.
    Other ships, are not that useful.
    After i got enough credit's even they came useless, because i got Goliath, and Bastion design pretty easily.

    Those are things, that greatly decreases amount of credit ship users.
    It's only natural, that they are extinct, because they are useless now days against FE, and UFE players, since elite ships get stronger, and stronger, but credit ships don't evolve.

    I hate when i am doing mission that says something like:
    "Destroy 25 enemy Nostromo or BigBoy."
    It brings on my mind question: "Who uses that ship anymore!"
    Answer: "Only few for a second, because they are useless after you get your hand's at auction 'credit ships'."
    It's much more worse if you think even smaller ships.

    I wouldn't mind if they would be harder to kill, if there just would be those ships.

  15. I agree on the firepower design. I don't think a BB hitting a extra couple hundred points will change the universe.
    Might make new people want to try one. Worst case is there are more BB to kill for quests.:cool:
     
  16. eh getting stronger laser and shield wise no but designs could not hurt i guess, would like to see more bigboys..

  18. The biggest problem with the bigboy is its speed. Simply up its base speed to lets say 280.
     
  19. Indeed. But with FULL ELITE Speed Gen's and a bit sep power , you can unleash speed of Bigboy ;)

    Of course a speed design of Bigboy would be good.
     
  20. I see your point, maybe the designs should be available like you said on nostros, leos and bigboys to add extra shield and hp. You are right, this way it helps out a newbiew get enough creds to eventually build up and buy a goli or vengie
