Ammo conversion chip

The chip I am proposing allows the conversion of any ammo to UBC-100, the converted ammo can only be used for alien hunting.
The activation cost would be 100 xenomit and 10 uri for an active time of 1 hour. A tax will be imposed to the following batteries:

LCB-10: 10 to 1 ammo tax per shot.
MCB-25: 8 to 1 ammo tax per shot.
MCB-50: 5 to 1 ammo tax per shot.

If the pilot employing this chip engages in pvp the chip will pause it's active time until the pilot targets an alien at which the activate time will continue.

 

Ammo is derived off the base value to economise the game, that would throw off the balance too much. Theres plenty of ways to boost ammo to hit the old x4, thats enough for both shield and ammo ranges now.

People will have to put in the time and effort to use their ammos rather than let the snides get another advantage. ironic as it is.

 

So all the people that have millions of x2 ammo from spinning gates will have thousands more X4? No thanks.

If you want to do an ammo chip, do it this way if any. A combo ammo chip that can auto order laser and rocket ammo. This opens another slot on the ship for another toy to use out in the maps. Just sayin.

 

That may be a bit too complicated for the developers.

 

No, the balance would be off, the ones who have millions of x2 from pally, and the ones with MILLIONS from botting would enjoy more from their botting day. I do not agree with this idea.

 

The way I see it, this idea may very well assist in exposing the bot users and yea why not reward the pally guys that honestly do that pally thing with alien hunting only UBC-100 ammo for all their X2.

 

For one, with all the proof in the world, many still don't get banned.
For two, many pally botted, 50% of the botters on GA1 were pally botters. Soon turned to npc botting when they got what they wanted. Then switch to smaller companies, and now kill npc's all day with their botted ammo and such. Giving them more dmg with for example 50mil x2... NO

 

I do understand your dilemma, would it help if I restricted it's use from GA-1???

 

My server isn't the only major bot server, the idea just won't make it.

 

Nope sorry its a -1 from me it just wont work and i don't really like the sound of it because there is many other ways to get your laser ammo to improve.

 

You can't restrict such a huge update that this would be from an entire server, the outcry would be extreme.

 

I am all ears regarding ideas to restrict bot users from this tech.......or any tach while we are at it.

Oracle and Dream Demon are right. This idea just makes the game too easy if you think about it. This idea gives most players, not just FE, unlimited x4 on aliens so then they can go around farming aliens easily and then there will be no aliens for weaker players to shoot. It is hard enough doing some quests, like the winter quests, when people are all hunting the same aliens. The game would be too easy, not as much to work for. Imagine what would happen at the cubikon, all the fe and ufe players would collect all the prize and weaker players would be struggling to get 10 uri. I don't want players to struggle fighting for uri from cube with 10+ other people hitting 100k+ on the cube, it would barely last 5 seconds.

 

Use the LCB-10 or MCB-25 or MCB-50 ammo in the GG - whichever GG and presto-magiCo! You got some UBC-100 ammo. No need for a ammo chip converter.
