    Hey all,

I've been looking all over the place for actual step by step processes on calculating damage. All I seem to find are charts telling me maximum damage for different ships etc... I don't want to know that.

So could someone please explain the process so I can accurately calculate for my own self with my own equipment :) I already know about upgrades and all of the percentage bonuses to add but it's a matter of when to add them.

    Thanks in advance!

What you need to do is:- first calculate the total damage of all your weapons on your ship, including any upgrades for the weapons. ( note leo has a 2x advantage on home lower maps)
So a goli has 15 lasers if they were all lf3 then it would be 15x 150 = 2250
if it was 15 time lf4s then it would be 15x 200 =3000

You will need to consider any weapons upgrades for weapons on your ship.

    Then calculate you drone damage.

say 10 drones (8 iris 1 apis 1 zeus) if they are all at lvl6 ( if some are not lvl6 then you will need to take that into consideration) 10 lf3s would be:-
    20x 150 = 3000
    x 10% ( for lvl6 ) = (10% of 3000 = 300) =3300

    10 lf4s = 20x 200 = 4000

you will need to take into consideration any drone upgrades and weapons upgrade on the drones. ( drone upgrades give the same bonus for both weapons if 2 weapons are loaded.)

Once you have the total for all the weapons on your ship and drones, you can then multiply this value by any other factors like, booster, ship design, CBS boosts, +/- formation designs, bio skills ( BH I/II, for ship damage, AH for npc damage.)

Then there is a range of damage max to 75% of max, so take your max damage and times by 0.75 to get your range of damage.

This will give the x1 ammo, you just multiply this by the ammo use x1-x4, rsm = x6

If you are still unsure post all weapons, with any upgrades for both ship load and drone load, with any boosters, ship designs, formations, CBA boost and BIO. Then hopefully some one will work it out for you. If I see it ( not on here much these days ) I'll work it out for you.
    :)
If there is anything you do not understand here just ask.:)

Thanks for your reply Pacman and thanks for the info.

I do have one question, when you get the total damage for ships + drones and are ready to add the extras, (ship designs, seprom etc) do you multiply the base total with each boost individually and then add all of the totals? For example...

    5000 x 60% = 3000 (seprom)
    5000 x 5% = 250 (ship design)
    5000 x 12% = 600 (pilot bio)
    5000 + 3000 + 250 + 600 = 8850

Or do you add the percentage bonuses sequentially?

    5000 x 60% = 3000 (8000 total)
    8000 x 5% = 400
    8400 total

    Thanks again,
    Kiaza

  4. sasjumb12300 this is not really accurate but good to see approximate dmg.

Hi K_iaza, you do the second set of calculations multiplying the first result by the next multiplier, then multiply that result with the next multiplier.
The only exception to that seems to be with damage boosters. when you have both the standard booster and shared booster they are add so you get 20% rather than 21%. Controlled experiments on average damage compared with calculated damage range, would suggest double booster only give 20%.

Thanks again Pacman, I promise this is the last question, (I think)

What is the order of adding the extra percentages? Bio, seprom, boosters etc.

Hi K_iaza, it does not matter which order as they are multiplication so it works out the same :).
if you have 100 and add 5% you get 105 then if you add 10% you get 115.5

    Or 100 + 10% is 110 +5 % =115.5
    :)

Always feel free to ask we like helping :)

    PS a like is good;)

  8. Hi when you calculate your max dmg take 15% less and you will have your minimum damage.(approximately)

...or you just use 125 for LF3 and 150 for LF4 to get the actual minimum damage.

  10. Hi,

125 for lf3?lol my pet has a lf3 and he never deal more than 140dmg but he can do110 easy.
