LAG BUG

Okay I'll keep it simple. Either read it ALL or leave.
First thing; anyone who wants to up their post counts by giving pathetic replies, get out of here now.

Now then; Popping a bmlord in 2-5, when all of a sudden a surge of lag kicks in. I've never seen such lag before, bmlord hits me at least 3 or 4 times it's regular damage.
Now as I move away from it, I'm continuously getting damage even though I'm far away from any and every red dot on the map.

I figure it might be a little bug so I jumped into 4-4 and back but nothing changed. The bmlord has its shield back, low hp but the lag is still there and I'm getting hit HARD from a distance. I start heading to 4-4 again to avoid popping but too late. Frustrated that someone might 'steal' my almost dead bmlord I'm compelled to use a 200 urid repair to port. Then I head back to the bmlord and destroy it using x2 sepped. (Had to remove the shield off it at least 4 times from full shield).

I notice momentary lag phases when the npcs freeze for a few seconds and appear at a slightly different location and hit me 3 or 4 times what they'd normally hit me.
I ended up popping the bmlord on a different drone formation that I wanted to for the coup de grace.

I move to port and try to log out so I can file this on the forums. But oh yeah, the damn npcs are hitting me from afar. So I had no demil zone on port and furthermore I couldn't log out.

IN CASE YOU DON'T FLIPPIN BELIEVE ME:

My losses sum up as such:
Lost between 6,000 - 10,000 x2 ammo, wasted on the regenerated shield.
Lost between 6,050 - 10,100 seprom
Lost 50 - 100 PLT - 2021 rockets
Lost 5% of the total Honour points for destroying a bmlord (with 2 pp on bonus honour), Due to the lag which didn't allow me to change formation for the coup de grace.
Lost 200 uridium, due to the port rep.
Lost 1 enemy player kill, a noob who I could've easily destroyed in a couple of shots but failed to do so due to the GODDAMN LAG
AND most importantly, Lost TIME, popping the npc in the lag and filing this up.
Several rank points due to popping to an npc.

My gains:
8% EP for the bmlord (with 10% design and 10% booster bonus), due to lag which didn't allow me to switch designs for the coup de grace.

I'm not bothered about the following;
enemy player kill;
bonus 8% EP
bonus 5% honour loss

What I demand for recompense is;
6,000 - 10,000 x2 ammo;
50 - 100 PLT -2021 rockets;
605 - 110 units of seprom ore or 6,000 - 10,000 additional seprom on my lasers AND 50 - 100 additional seprom on my rockets;
200 uridium for that repair;
My rank points back.
And my time. Though you can't exactly pay back the last one, give a substitute which I would be able to obtain in the 40 minutes + I wasted popping the npc in the lag and filing this up.

You may call me tight for demanding everything. But THIS IS JUSTICE.

For the record, I hardly lag but this is bizarre and I demand JUSTICE.

I agree that the situation sucks, and is a little weird that the lag was causing you to be hit on port.....and here it comes....BUT ........the losses you demand justice for are nothing to worry about, you can get that back doing less than 20 minutes of pali . As for the wasted time, no one can get that for you, if you want to feel better, go renew your license at your local DMV, now there is a time waster .

 

It is not npc glich. it is glich when u see you are moved to other place in map, but actualy u r in that point where npc is. next time try to move ur ship arround or just click in minmap again and here you go u r back. Yes, it's still lag and need to fixed!

 

All servers have been having ridiculous lag. Hell, at least you can move on yours. on GA1 we just freeze where we are, and hope to god we don't die. I froze on a BBL with a title once.. We all froze, but i had the title lol, luckily i managed to switch configes and get out. This game needs to be fixed.

 

No it's nothing like that. I went all around the map and BP CAN VERIFY MY ROUTE PATTERN.

The npcs shot me at the same rate, same strength. A goliath with it's highest speed couldn't out run them. I've yet to receive my recompense or yet even a goddamn reply.

 

That's DO for you. GA1 has had freezing issues for over a month, going on 2 months actually, yet they have not fixed it, or compensated us. Hell we even had a server down time for 3+ hours. No one could connect. DO doesn't care.

Fortunately I am not experiencing this bug any longer.

I would appreciate someone from the development team look into this bug as it has happened to me and several players from time to time in the past and I can only assume it'll happen again.

Oh and if BP would kindly recompense me, that would be great.

 

Hi Seraphim. Sorry for the delay in dealing with this. The bug was passed to the developers to look into. And I am pleased that you are no longer experiencing these issues.
In regards to personal compensation I am afraid that is not something we are able to consider here in the forum. You would have to contact support directly and even then there is no guarantee that any compensation will be given as it is generally policy not to give personal compensation for issues unless authorised by the dev team except under certain circumstances.
