No you don't, the gate just connects your x-1 map to 4-4. The new NPC will probably just go on and off like the ref bots did during the world cup event.

 

In otherwords, people spend Uri to get the stupid ammo, for the rewards to not be worth the uri spent on the ammo. Welcome to DarkOrbit, where it's all about draining your pockets.

 

First of all, As the event has just begun it is a little to early to start bashing the latest opportunity to have community interaction. As this event is intended to get players and companies working together as a united force.

The statement about the special purchased ammo is not a waste, it does have what appears to be the same strength as the X4 ammo when used on players. Not to mention a cool looking graphic when used.

It would be greatly appreciated if we could keep a positive thought on the event. As we are aware that when new events comes out, there are always going to be players that are dissatisfied.

Lets just try this once, to keep our lasers crossed for a fun happy event for all.

Im already go in this gate via X1 to 4-4 but see nothing there..... just empty

 

where paying 10 uri for something that does x4 damage when can spend 5 uri for something that does x6.
that is why everyone is saying its a waste of uri and everyone who did buy the ammo is upset because there has been none of the special npcs yet ( although thell probly be out later?)
and honestly if I spent 20k uri for 2k of this ammo and killed a demaner freighter ... well first of all it probly wouldnt even be enough ammo and secondly wouldnt pay back 20 - 30k uri.... and if it did wellll damn good job DO
and as for the uniting the company and creating teamwork...
it doesnt matter what company has the most teamwork or what company is the strongest it matters who has the most players that can just overwhelm the stronger company or the company with the most teamwork.
example - 10 ufe vs 50 fe.... the company with the ufes is stronger and would have to use more teamwork but the the fes have the greater number of players and would therefore dominate the entire event because of there numbers.

 

Astraea, do you need to go to specsavers? As if you look at what DarkOrbit have done for the last 4 years, and then add in this new event, you have to be practically blind to not see how much of a Uri (pocket) drain everything is geared to become.

However I do like this event for 1 reason, I can get loads of footage of the people who cheat.

On the otherhand they spend the most money on this game and therefore coincidentally never get caught. Surprising the coincidences eh?

 

Astraea, i have asked every possible question in other threads and in chat and got some good feedback, personally i think its going to be a good day on the 16th and in regards to uniting companies i think it is working (certainly getting all clan members online.) The only questions i need answering are specs on the Frieghter and definitives about the rewards. Can u answer these yet??

You need the special ammo (x4 pulse look-a-like) to beat this Demaner Freighter fun freak...pass. Just another referee ro-bot.

 

Hi there,

The Demanor Freighter will appear in the maps on the last day of the event (16th August). Unfortunately we do not have access to the specifications and rewards given, however i would assume that if DO is selling special ammunition capable of x8 damage towards this specific NPC, it could be one tough cookie

Also, we do know that the Freighter will drop a special booty box which will not require a key to open, and this box will have a chance of winning an LF4 and drone designs. Aside from that, other rewards given are also unknown.

We hope to have the event F.A.Q. posted for you shortly.

Does the OP (original poster) have any further questions regarding this?

Will other players be able to steal the dropped booty box? If it's like the HITAC where I'd spend 5 mins shooting the thing for some idiot cloaked to steal the letter from me, I'll be annoyed.

I'd just like to point a slight flaw in the seeings of Bigpoint.

It is a known fact that many have asked for BP to add x4 to the shop for a uridium price...
Well you have technically done so... unfortunately for someone such as myself with 13 million uridium I'd like to say even with rebate and premium I could only acquire about 1,600,000 of the new ammo that does x4 damage.

Wrong, with 13 million uridium I can most definitely acquire around 4,000,000+ x4 ammunition from Galaxy gates....

this is a great idea! It gets us to work together as a company. We are going to play this game the way it was meant to be played. Yes the rewards are great and all but isnt it how you get there rather than what you get? dont you have fun when working together taking the enemy out? I know I do. Ive been working together with players for the 1st time that have been playing for years..Keep up the good work Big Pointed

 

DO should make somethings change for this game... that after we shot down the Demaner and the rewards box must own by the shooter itself and can not be steal by other member or other player.if not.... this game will not be fair at ALL.

 

the second thinks is DO should make this Final day game to two days and not one day. its should end at 17th August 2014 meanning is on saturday and sunday because one day is too shorted time for us to play this for fun. I hope DO will look into this. thank.
