Got a Clan, but Can't Be a Clan Leader.

Old man, Old Clan.. and Stuff is starting to NOT work..

.. or is it a Glitch.. to bee or not to be..
That is the Question..

We happen to be one of the Few Original Clans left in Our Company..
After the First New Client Our ClanLeader Stopped Playing, and his Ship Went Inactive before He could Name one of the Officers .. ClanLeader.

We have had No problem except' not being able Change Our Company Status from ALL to ===> Just the Company of Choice..

However now, I CAN change the TAX percentages, but..

(1) Can NOT make any Payouts System Message says " You Dont have Sufficient Rights "

(2) Can NOT Private message Clan mates to inform them.. System message says " This user isn't a member of your clan "

but I can Message on the Clans Information Page and send Messages to ALL Mates..

Hi there,

Thank you for posting your issue here, i have a few questions i would like to ask to try and get a clear picture of your issue.

You say that your old clan leader went inactive, does this mean that they are still the registered leader of the clan (meaning they have control of all the permissions)?

The reason i ask is because i wander what permissions your currently have available to you, since if your rank/function has not been assigned specific permissions then you will not be allowed to perform specific tasks in the clan.

(1) To make payments from the clan treasury you must have the permission "Payout from Clan Treasury". This is a different permission from the one that allows you to change tax rate which is "Change Tax Rate". It is possible that you have the "Change Tax Rate" permission but not the "Payout from Clan Treasury" permission.

(2) This issue could be brought upon trying to reply to a "clan" message from a user who has since left the clan. Messages that you receive in the clan mail from users from when they were in the clan will still appear when they have left the clan. Therefore i would suggest you check the members list to see if the person you are trying to message is still in the clan.

I have bean assigned all Rights, and Still have them all, as I, like 3 others are Actively Serving as Clan Leaders,

I have bean Paying out Clan Credits for years..

as for the Message issue.. Yes he is a Member and active in the clan.. I Rebooted my PC.. and Still the same issue.

We have been Trying to Resolve this " Clan Leader-Less Issue " for sometime, You see.. We are unable to build a CBS properly due to the ALL Company Status.. We wish to Change Clan Status to Our Company, MMO.

To build a CBS, in the Current State of Affiliation, It provides NO Protection from the Other Enemy Companies, and every attempt to Sustain a CBS in our Company Maps.. results in Dis-Harmony and Destruction of the CBS.

After Poling the Idea of Remaking the Clan.. They Wish to Retain the Current Clan due to Inactive Mates / the Avatar / Start Date .

Start Date is Proof that We are the Original ΉΞĿĿ Clan of the West Coast Server.

I saw a Guy in Auction Last night.. using the Same Name in Code as the Guy in our Clan.. (Perhaps this Guy is in Our Clan to Farm us when he Returns.)

what a surprise he will get .. a Big Fat " HELL No "

after carefully examining the Matter seems that His Ship account is Inactive and This must be the Reason Why a Payout and Message cant be Done.. with Him..

However the other Issues are Still pending an Answer..

After further review, the problem that you are having is that when I look at you clan information it gives me the name of the clan Leader. Which is not you or any of the members with Executive rights. Those Executive rights only grant you the option do to certain things, you can not edit the Clan information and or dissolve the clan that must be done by the leader.

If the leader is inactive the clan therein has an issue as we generally do not get involved in clan business. Therefore we do not hand over leadership of a clan to another member.

As always.. and Answer to this Issue will Serve US.. as we have Figured this Way the Case since the Loss of this Player..

Unknown if he has passed away, or given up Interest of the Game, Rules are Rules..

He has been Off this Game for over 4 years.. as stated He Left as Did 80% of the Clan Members with the release of the First New Client.

Understandably..

The Stance of the Admins, Game Masters and the General Programing Committee, if NOT for Profit and the Enjoyment of It's Clientele, (Gamers) providing such services and Duties is both Time consuming and costly.

However, in the same light .. Those of us involved in the Pursuit of the Rewards found within the Game Confines are not always done in ways that Serve the Needs of Our Community.

For this very reason the Forums are here to voice such issues.

Would perhaps a Vote within our Clan help mitigate involvement of the Game Admins to make an Adjustment in the Leadership of Our Well known and Respected Clan on the West Coast Server ? ?

It is NOT my purpose to become Clans Leader, but to make the needed Changes within its Structure and Status..

( 1 ) We wish to become Strictly a MMO Company Clan.

This will permit us to Spend more Uri on Upgrading our Collected Modules and be a further Benefit to the Company and Game Community within our Server.
This equals the Goal of Marketing Specialists.. ( Profit )

(2) Make a Change in Our Marquee ..

Make it Time effective so those Searching for Our Brand of Play, will apply.

(3) Add a TS or VoIP address for Hunting Our Foes.. ( VRU / EIC ) Friends as Foes
this will move us into a Noob Status on the " P v P .. Frontier ".. ( Profit )
