Event quest

Ok so yesterday in 4-2 and 4-3 vru and droped the meter on the beacons both times i was there to refill the meter in beacons . Got the honor points but it didnt count for quest. Then today i log in to do todays quest and had to end yesterdays just to do todays. Im lost as to why after bringing to beacons back into eic control did i not get the quest finished? which caused me to loose the rewards for that quest!

 

Same problem with the 3x quest something is wrong with these 2 quests!(2x-3x)

Can i ask if you are fully capturing the beacons (to which they get 15 minutes protection), or are you just neutralizing them to the point in which they appear for your company.

ether way its still recapturing it. But i am refilling the beacon after it was taken. As if it isnt fully in your company control your company gets no credit every 60 seconds. so like i said ether way you look at it if your taking it from another company or just refilling the beacon till your company logo shows your capturing it. And if in fact you have to take it from another company then these quests are are stacked against the wining company. As we have had control most of the event on east1.

This would mean we would have to let another company take our beacons just to take them back to finish quest. That in fact would in all rights be pushing to finish a quest.

 

Well i didnt deselect the 3x event quest but however i did complete it. But another problem has came to light . Being that was an old quest the one for yesterday was taken away after completing 3x quest. It was in my mission control panel I think it was 1x beacon and kill 20 players. I completed the 3x quest at around 11pm est which left around an hour to select the 1x 20kill quest. But once I got back to mission control I see it had vanished. I waited till 12 am on the 13th and did the travel quest.

Also I happened to catch a mod in chat (hypnotic) And I asked him if I was allowed to allow mmo or vru to take a beacon so I can take it back and he STATED no that would be exploiting the quest. And would be in fact a form of pushing. So I think these quest were not thought out very well. And put honest players in a bad spot. Not only did we loose quests to boost ep and honor. We could of did the wrong with out even knowing and been ban for pushing. I really think this needs looked into and the quest we were forced to loose and the issue be fixed with the ppl who was forced to loose the quests.

 

On the quests and the achievements, you have to let the beacon get at least half way under the opposing companies control before you take it back. So, if you are EIC and the beacon is still partially blue, you get nothing. If it is even slightly red or green, you get credit and you get the honor (and sometimes ammo) rewards once you fully capture it and the lock goes on the beacon.

 

Thats the point Im making if you (let) it get taken the you are exploiting the event quest. And it don't state any were that you have to fully take from other company. If you company logo isnt above the beacon you do not get any credit for that beacon at the 60 second mark. So there for just topping it off to get you logo above should be enough for the quest to count. This isnt a matter of how much you have to fill its a matter of control or not. You have it or you dont. The quest states take control of beacon. I dont state take control from another company!

Yet again your missing the point here. It says capture the beacon. Well you dont have it captured till your company logo is above the beacon. So if your company logo isn't above it and you sit on the beacon till your logo shows at that point it is captured. You can make your own interpretation all day, But end result is its not captured till your company logo is above beacon! As stated this event should have been thought threw a lot better.

 

Having your company logo on the beacon simply means that your company controls it. If the logo is still on it, then there is nothing to capture as it is still yours, regardless of whether it's being taken. To "capture" the beacon, you have to get it neutral (white border with brownish interior) as an enemy takes it, then recapture the beacon back.

 

You wrong! As soon as that meter drops the tag on top the beacon vanishes. There for your company no longer controls it, and you do not get the 60 second point for it until the meter is full and logo is back on. Even Hypnotic agreed that this is a flaw and that I am 100% correct. To capture the beacon from another company you have to drain the meter and refill with your color. To re-capture your own beacon you have to simply refill the meter to get your logo to show above beacon.

 

Why re-capture something that is already under your control. As long as the beacon is your company's color, it is under your company's control (Not what I said before, I know). Yes, you re-capture the beacon that way but also by letting it neutralize and go neutral (white border with brownish interior), and then you capture it, locking it for 15 mins. The quest wants you to do the latter, letting it go neutral so it doesn't belong to any company, then capturing and locking it for 15 mins. That is what the mission wants you to do.

 

i understand what you are saying, but what im saying is in order for you team to get the points you have to capture it and have it in your control. If you logo is not above the beacon it is not in control nor is it captured. That is the point im making is these quests are jacked and not thought threw. Even in the event discription Solid_eye Says the winner of the event will get what the graphics says. But that is not true if you read further it says the last day the dom will drop that in cargo. So which is it the winners or the dom?

Also the 100 new ammo quest didnt work after collecting 220 rounds i noticed none of it was going to quest. Check around and had others test and same for them. This hole event as of yet has been a flop!

I apologise for the delayed response to this thread.

As SPSAT99 correctly states, in order to complete the quest you must have captured it from an enemy and locking it to your company for the 15 minutes.

As for the other mission which required you to collect the ammunition, unfortunately this mission was bugged and was unable to be fixed on the day.

All the issues that were present during the event were unfortunate and i apologise for any inconvenience they might have caused, however it is planned that Domination becomes a future mechanic within the game, so hopefully the issues should have been resolved by then.

The event is now over therefore there is not much further we can do here for you in the forums, however we can only learn from mistakes and issues and i am sure that shall be the case.
