Make it easier to get onto the forums

Can you please make it easier to get logged onto the forums? I don't like having to log onto the game (which already takes a couple of minutes) and then finding the link in the announcements.

Allow us to just access it outside of DarkOrbit.com.

 

I don't like it, it would make it too simple for too many people with multiple accounts or just trolls that flood and spam the forum with opinions and not constructive suggestions.

Yeh i like it +1 because to get on the forum logged in you have to log onto the game and then go on the forums.

 

This because you know it is not easy to make a game account and log to the forums to like/agree with vespids posts about how infinite damage is needed in game.

Btw vespid i was making fun of your post not agreeing with it.

I like it because not everyone can log into the game nor wants to but wants to pop on the forums and check it out if any updates happenned, etc.

 

Compared to people just created new game accounts (many of which peopel already have atleast 2) and starting a new account through there?

 

Mmh... Maybe add it to the Favorites in your Browser Tab?

 

It won't let you still. You have to log onto the game in order to play still.

If you try to just go straight to the forums, it says

"Dear forum reader,
if you'd like to actively participate on the forum by joining discussions or starting your own threads or topics, please log into the game first. If you do not have a game account, you will need to register for one. We look forward to your next visit."

 

Still no, what about all them players that have spent years doing it this way???
I believe they would be pretty salty that rookie forum members get to have it so easy.
Chances are people would be leaving the game in droves if this happens.

Change out "gb2" for your server, and so long as you've logged in within the past couple of hours or so (or since you've not closed your browser since logging - not sure on that though), it'll log you into the forum.

There was a direct login option to the old forums so you statement of:
"what about all them players that have spent years doing it this way" is mental.

If you are trying to "troll" these forums I would say you really need to come up with something better.

I've tried Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome.

So let you get this straight in your mind people would leave the game because of a simple login to the forums. But would join the game if prices increased even more with even more damage?

Thats like saying people would buy the TX-2 computer over the say a Dell computer because the name is better.

 

I'm going to try and break this jumble of words up into parts:

1. Back in the old forum, you had two option on how to get to the forums, either you could look up on Google: Dark Orbit Forums OR you could go through the help button and click on forums.
2. It has always been easy to get onto the forums
3. How does not logging into the game and logging directly onto the forums cause people to leave the game?

 

Bookmark the forum, then on another occasion before you log into your DO account open the forum through the bookmark, you will see the following when you open the forum from the bookmark:-

"Dear forum reader,
if you'd like to actively participate on the forum by joining discussions or starting your own threads or topics, please log into the game first. If you do not have a game account, you will need to register for one. We look forward to your next visit."

 

And have DarkOrbit lose "Hits" on its homepage, you mad bro? lol

I think that'd be a good idea. For the old forum, I just had to type in en. and then choose the forum from the list and it would pull it up. It's not a hassle for me to log into the game to go to the forum, but it's not needed. +1

It is a new forum there was always going to be increased activity at the start.

It would take nothing to allow us to log into the forum as we did on the old forum. This change is not conducive with customer satisfaction. It is conducive with manipulation, forcing us to log into the back page to make a post.

 

I was on about the Home Page hits if you read the 2 words which say "HomePage" in my post lol.

 

I'm using firefox, i'm actually not log into the game, and it works well for me.
Maybe, i know why... Because i saved my data ( " Remember password " ) button that appears when you log in. ( And saves your id and your password )
If that isn't... Idk.
