    Well Streuner can be found in X-1 and X-2 map whereas StreuneR are found in X-8 map.

    Please check the below quote:

    does killing the StreuneR count toward upgrading drones.(level 14 goliath)

    yes it does and ernest killing the streuners ( x-1 and x-2) if impossible they are the most DANGEROUS NPC IN DO but killing the streuneR (x-8) will help you lvl up drones but if you have a second hanger you can get a leo and kill npcs in x-3 and x-4 the smaller the ship the faster they lvl and bigger ship will take some time just saying hope it help :)
