Cover Names

I was thinking of another way to "change names".
Instead of changing your name with 48 hours in between, I was wondering what you would think of keeping that and have a separate "Cover Name".
It would mask your normal game name for a short time, maybe 1 to 2 hours and you can have it set to what you like. First change can be free, but each change should cost something.

You can activate it in the game screen, probably in the "User Status" box, like how the Configuration gear is shown in the "Ship Stats" window.

Cool thing is, when you have it active and you kill someone, it would display the cover name in their screen and kill feed, even long after you change it and/or it deactivates.

Can be changed every 48 hours.
Price of setting and first change: Free
Price of next change: 1,000 uri
Next: 2,000 Uri...
Then 4,000 Uri

And it doubles with each change, kind of like Pilot Bio.

what about a CPU that does that?

 

Na, a CPU like that is kind of a waste, just a lil' button to activate it on the game screen is enough, like configurations.

 

Interesting idea, but why would you want to hid the fact you've killed someone or why would you feel the need for this?

The only reason i can see this is for going on a killing killing spree, and or using cheats and then saying to other players it wasn't me.

I was gonna use it for trolling, but now I see how auto lockers and such can benefit...

im positive his post was sarcastic because he said support tells him this, and we all know the IQ of support.

 

Uhm... no, i dont see the point of it. It sounds like a cover name is being used to attack other players and not having to worry about revenge because they dont know its you. This is a bad idea, i see no point in it sorry.
