targeting cloaked enemies&using rocket launchers

Hi all, I am experiencing trouble figuring out how to target cloaked enemies, I've tried multiple times and never can do it, is it because I too am cloaked? I've been attacked several times by cloaked enemies so I don't think it's that what do I do?
Also, I haven't been able to use my rocket launcher since I purchased it, I think it may be that I need the rocket launcher cpu? Thanks in advance Love the game, remember my name

 

Hello AnVick, if you're cloaked target is moving, then really all you can do is to keep clicking away at where you think it might be and stabbing away at 'Control'. You will eventually get better at this but it takes time. If the cloaked target is just sitting there, then just slowly move the pointer over the area where you know it is and wait for the cursor to change, click and fire. The however is that you have no idea what's cloaked and it may blast you out of the galaxy in seconds.....! Alternatively, you can use an EMP burst to uncloak the target, but this depends on how much you really want to find out what's under the cloak.
And you're right about the rocket launcher CPU, get it in auction, and you should be able to pick it up for peanuts rather than pay good uri for it. If you put the launcher icon in the Hot Keys at the bottom of the screen, it means that you can switch the launcher on and off which is handy if you're farming low order npc's.

I think theres another problem too.
Usually when theres a cloaked enemy, they would be very close to your ship. So i spam the mouse to find my target, and i see that the target is sitting on me. It would have the select on it . When really its just myself

Point is, fix ship to not be selected be yourself when u cant anyways.
U can try this by clicking on your ship in the game, u have an option to select it but nothing happens. Its confusing as it makes me think the enemy is on me.

Another good option is changing your mouse over icon in mouse setting i have mine set to a custom red target. As soon as i see it change i click and have lock. There is a lot of custom mouse over icons out find 1 that fits you.

 

Just go nuts clicking around the place, bound to target him eventually

 

Here is a look at my mouse over if you want it your welcome to use it. Might have to change it to a .ico

This is easy to do in gimp just save to pc open in gimp and top right select -file then -export as-select the .ico and place you want it saved.

No problem, Always glad to help. If you need the actual file just let me know and i can upload it in ts or something.

If you need to know where and how to place it will make a walk through to make it easy. You just need to go into control panel - mouse - select pointers - scroll down to link select - Click browse- Go to where file is saved and select it.- Click save and exit. I also change my normal select to a white cross which is a icon that is already in your icon pack. The change from the 2 makes finding the cloaked enemy easy.

 

Check to make sure it's equipped on BOTH configurations


Then on your game screen, you have to manually Arm and Fire the rocket launcher.
I usually have it in my hot-bar when I'm just killing random things.


BLUE: Laucher Device itself
RED: Ammo that can be loaded with it


The Laucher CPU is just to automatically load and fire the launcher, except, I don't use it unless I'm doing gates.
It comes with a little load time delay, maybe 1 extra second after it cools down.

 

the cup for launcher makes it auto fire if you dont want to auto fire place it in hot keys. But i use the cpu to save hotkey space. Not to mention it only costs no more then 20mil in auction. then i would also get the rocket buy cpu and set it to eco-10.
