Are Server Merges needed?

The servers are dying, we only have this many servers because a few years ago there where tens of millions of players, now only a handful remain and that number continues to drop as competition and overall popularity of this game goes down. There is not enough people on the servers to have fun and have any competition. The servers are dead. Dead dead dead dead.

Put all the French,German, Mexican servers on one, all the Global Americas on one server and so forth.

Yeah cool we have a free JPA, joy, three quick fights then your waiting 20 minutes for a new fight...Joy.

They've already merged two servers so why not do it again.

 

If server merge were possible, which they say it isn't, it still wouldn't help much unless they address the reasons why people are leaving the game. Consistent bugs, non-existant support, failure to deal with cheats, excessive cost - these are the reasons people have had enough and while a server merge may help in the short term unless the underlying causes why people leave are looked at then it won't save the game in the long term.

For the record I voted yes. I don't see any reason why the servers couldn't be merged, they just have to keep the ranks seperate for it to work but given the track record on coding updates I can't see it happening.

Of course servers need to be merged, there are like 30 active players in global america 2.

 

30 players on a global server? nah just go to ga1 then.

 

I completely agree, there are so many reason why servers die, sometimes there are the ufe bullies who dont let smaller ships get stronger, you have the lag, lack of events, lack of rewards for events and gates, lack of suitable prices to get stronger. There are many many more reasons. A merger wouldnt help it, and if they say that it isnt possible, then how were they able to achieve TA in which u battle someone from a different server. Yeh, its not that they cant, its more like they wont.

i think they should cause im ufe in usa east server and i hardly got anyone to fight its so dead at least make it so we can change our account to another server or something dont have to combine all them cause then it would be way to laggy and packed

All that you would do if they get merged is to chase noobs that we have now on our servers ...you made your servers what they are

Was fun racking up kills wasn't it ..killing all them phoenixes /liberators/nostros/big boys sure was fun

Now thy have all left and you are left alone on server where only people left are those like you...

And whats the point merging servers NONE it doesn't address the issues ingame.

The cheats are getting bored already after they made weaker players quit and they bored just poping eachother that's a fact.

Cant just blame it all on BP , half the blame goes to the players that thought they were smart by cheating etc.

 

im double sided on this, 1st I am for a merger only because it will place players who are good battlers against other good battlers. 2) it will also make it feel like a live server, meaning there will probably be more than 50 players on at once which would be good for the server and players. 3) competition will be higher meaning players will be on more.

Im also kinda against it because 1st, the lag will probably be worse, 2) it doesnt prevent from the UFEs from 1 server joining another ufe clan that will hold noobs at port, 3) The possibility of losing accts is probably greater/
