Rankpoints question

Hello, I have this question: why does the rank points increase every day by at least 2k, when.. there are only handful of players in the server playing? Most of the time im alone in the upper maps. And the lower maps are empty as well. I'm talking about Scandinavia(1) server. Another thing: few months ago i completed gamma and beta gate, i used 50% honor(u can purchase it by ordering uri time to time) and honor design and 10% honor booster. Result: the next day i checked my rankpoints after finishing the gates- everything was basically nullified. I gained nothing by finishing these gates, rankpoints had gone up the same exact count i gained from doing gates. If i take the rankpoints gotten from honor only. Server is empty, yet rankpoints keep going up. There are not many ppl even in palla fields. I'm only Chief Lieutenant and farm NPC-s like crazy. And i don't do gates anymore. I rarely see somebody sitting at x-1 map near the area, where gates appear. This doesn't make sense. I mostly am in upper maps chain killing kristallons, boss kristallons, i have completed most of the quests. I don't do hunting anymore, because i don't want to drive away the few people that have just joined the server.

 

If you are looking at the points you need to make it to the next rank, it only takes 1 player to make the difference, meaning the lowest ranked player for the next rank you need. Depending on what they are doing, a 2k rank point jump a day is not beyond reason especially if they are using a 50% EP or Honor booster in conjunction with quest completion and/or Galaxy Gates. The rank points also change as players ships become active and inactive. When a player goes from a Chief Captain to Basic Space Pilot due to inactivity and then reactivates the account, this may cause the points to jump depending on where the player is in the ranking and if they lost a rank while inactive. Rank points from the rank they went down to will now jump to his points.

Well..sadly it is an incomplete answer to a question with a huge number of variables anymore. The introduction of Bio which allows players to get more Honor & Experience points in addition to the specialty ships (Veteran, Exalted for example) plus the EP and Honor Boosters, makes figuring what any given player might gain in a day as far as rank points are concerned hard to calculate.
The map they play also factors in also. Players that do not do gates but hit 4-5 all day might not get great gains in EP and Honor, but the rank points per Uber killed gives a rank point advantage. The "Boss" points per kill are the same.
I have recently spent a lot of time in the "5" maps working on the last of my Pirate quests. The NPC's in these maps give great EP, Honor, credits and Uri but as far as rank points....BIG TIME STINKERS!!!! I will ask you to defer to your rank point chart in your "Ranking" section of your Home map to figure that one out.
You have asked one of the hardest questions in D.O at the moment to get a straight answer from which is why I believe a lot of players have avoided responding.
I can give only this advise..kill everything that crosses your path, it is all worth something! Do the daily quests..they might seem simple but give easy rank points as far a quests completed. If you pay to play, play smart, finish your quests in conjunction with the 50% EP booster while flying the "Veteran" design since quests generally do not give out Honor points and do your gates with the 50% Honor booster while flying the "Exalted" design.
I'm sure I have missed a few things but for the moment, this is the best advise I can give as far as ranking up!

 

Only people who spend money have chance to rank up. Or people who live in palla fields and then run gates. I actually suggest to remove all maps except, x-1,5-3 and 5-2; pvp maps and galaxy gates. Because the game goes around gathering palladium, exchanging it and then running them. Because in dead servers like I'm playing in, there is not much else to do. Other maps are useless anyway, since no matter how active I am in upper maps, I only fall behind in rankpoints. I make 20-30k honor a day+NPC shot points, honor and EP. If alien shot points had same value as player shot points, the game would be completely different. It would actually matter, that if you work harder, you deserve to rank up. Running gates is just cheating and lazy imho. all the game goes around either spending money or living in gates. Boring.

 

BATTLΞCRUISΞR doing gates all day long dont cost much money. all you need is full ship rebate and premium.
you can make uri on cubes and do gates for free basically, since you get almost enough uri from a,b,c gg to rebuild new ones...

 

It may not cost much money but it does cost alot of time to be honest, between pallying and cubing. And thats assuming that you wont be popped off of cubes lol

 

Can a top 10 player make rank points go up for everyone? Even if he is from other company? He is a Chief Colonel and very active(of course in gates, haven't seen him a long time around) and I'm only Chief Lieutenant. I have managed to maintain my placing in ranks(1200th for example) for a long time, but rankpoints go up and i soon ose my rank. Only a matter of time. Another thing is interesting: i checked some other guys profile who is Captain and is in top 50 while im not far away from that rank and im on 1200th place?? Come on, how is that possible?

 

on profile page say 50 but he is 500+ it dont show all numbers there, glitch or something...
