So is the Removal of the Ammo-cap around the corner?

 

Yeah, when the official announcements start being written it generally means its pretty much done, wouldn't be too surprised it was removed this week, but never know for sure.

 

I would say this is one of the Biggest (and greatest) Modern updates for the game, Don't you think?

BTW, why didn't the Devs remove the Ammo-cap sooner?

 

Depends on what people consider to be good, its great, but I get hints here and there from things I see that suggest huge updates are coming and if they are what they seem then one of them is the greatest, from my view point but I will just have to wait and see if its what I think it is.
I just have to be careful what I post and make sure I have enough info at the time to back it up as what I think it is.

From your statement that "huge updates are coming", can we assume that they were planning ahead and wanted to release game-changing updates simultaneously?

 

Probably not, there's a few big changes that they have already mentioned 3D and download, which change how the game will look but will not change how it will play. However the Loyalty update will change how the game plays and I doubt any of those will come out at the same time.

However, the big update I'm not sure about and hoping the most will be true is PvP related, it won't change peoples abilities in PvP and make their ships stronger than they already are, it's just a new PvP mode I think.

 

3D and downloadable client should take a pretty long time, especially 3D because it changes how the game actually looks and need a new graphics engine. Any time-frame for 3D?

 

When it was first announced they said end of this year, but no long term projects every go completely smooth for any team so I would more towards early / middle of 2015 as my guess. Also just to be picky, they won't be having the make their own engine, they will be using someone else's and paying for the license.

That was just a link to test4 showing it was protected by a Username and password.

Poland is getting a event to celebrate their independence day, polish servers will get event boxes for the duration and fireworks - standard event stuff pretty much.


The other change, that seems very boring at first could be interesting.
A tooltip has been added for "Speed". Now, tooltips in the flashres refer to the gamepage, so if you hover over your HP number the tooltip will say Hit Points and then something like 65,443/70,000 etc. So why does any of this matter? Well it suggests that there will be a reason that we need to see or want to see our current speed.
This could be linked to the Loyalty system, which they have already mentioned that they intend to mess with the speed of ships but we will have to wait and see how big a impact it will really be. It could be a case they some Loyalty abilities allow you to slow your opponent for a period of time so they could look at their tooltip and it would say Speed: 350/400, however this is just speculation for now.

soo did anyone get anything for their ammo cpus? they said they were giving booty keys, ggs, and log disks, idk if i got log disks or ggs cuz i had a lot of those but i got 0 booty keys.
