Im from Eg7 to, and in the spanish forum are like 50 ppl with the same problem, VPN or Proxys doesn't solve anything, doing the stuff that support says (clearing cache, reset modems, routers, blablabla) are not working. there is no one that give us an explanation, i have this problem since 1 week ago.

the game works like 2 from 15 tries. the 13 left you only see this and neever ending with that.

My Premium subscription ends with 6 days without playing. I buy it again thinking that the error were fixed... A BIG MISTAKE. 2 days and counting, and i cant even enter to the game.

i have the same issue as -=(Zenit-Forever)=- and i have tried firefox and chrome and same results. I have done all Darkorbit asks for clear cache restart modem and computer every little trick on forum please help as i have not been able to play in two days..

I have the same issue on US West. Takes forever to get into the backpage when loggin on. I have tired Opera, Firefox and Chrome all with the same results, also i am on a Apple computer. It does not matter if you clear your browser cache and flash cache, and do a modem reset. Plus take forever connection onto the game page, and once on their the lag makes it unplayable. I will log on in 3-4 and nothing works, can't add rocks to the shields or engines. I open the star map and all I see is red X's on all the maps. If you try to fly around the npcs on the mini map stay in one spot while you fly around, then jump to where your at after you park there for a while. Once you get to a portal to jump you cant. If you click on a box it takes 3 to 5 seconds to collect. Been like this for a week or so. Seems to be worse in the evenings then during the day time.

 

I am having the same issues the back page works fine but when trying to get in the battle page is will not establish connection then the rare occasional times it has let me in the game very soon after I get very extreme lag and the game freezes up completely
I have does all the things that big point support such at clearing cache, reset modems, routers I have tried different browsers tried uninstal re-install browsers and abode flash
If you dare mention this to any cm or SMOD they will act as if you did not say you tried all those things they suggest and repeat themselves to no end
Obviously they all still insist that there system is perfect and has no flaws they insist all errors are caused by our com[uter...
Saying all this my only sensible thing we all can do is write Big Point and notify them
that we will not continue to feed our money into a game we are not able to p,lay due to there refusal to look into and fix problems we report to them
Once they start loosing more and more money I promise you they will get of there butt and fix these issues

 

try restart your router it usually works for me

If you are using the www.darkorbit.com to log in, could you please try using... http://www.us1.darkorbit.com/
See if this will give you a better access to the game. Please know this is not a guarantee to resolve the matter, just another option.

This is to ASTRAEA, Board Administrator Your idea of trying http://www.us1.darkorbit.com/ let me login but sometimes the other link did occasionally as well However as soon as I was inn the game the battle page froze up so tyhat nothing moved other than my ship and I could not do anything which has been happening for a few days

Well I am grateful for one thing concerning this problem: at least it is happening before mega happy hour so I will NOT give them any money for a game we have such a hard time getting in why pay if we cannot play !

 

ASTRAEA i tried it same as other i get on home page, but the problem is on the map page the lag and the freezing impossible to play getting kinda mad because i have rebate,doubler,and premium...when is DO gona do something?

I could not get the www. webpage last night (22:00 GMT) at all and eventually gave up...
this morning has been hit and miss also with the webpage, backpage and map but I am in now and dont plan to logout of the map until I finish for the day ...
I have tried on firefox as well as my usual Opera and it seems more down to the darkorbit website is contactable as it works randomly or at the same time on both browsers...

Woops... US1 just dropped out 0500 server time maybe an extraordinary reset...

tiz 18:15 now and got dropped at least twice since..

 

We are sorry that you are all experiencing this type of issue, I have posted an alternative link for logging in to the game. However this link will not change the lag experienced.

We have passed this information on for further investigation and there is a feedback thread were as you can post your comments about the lag.

I tried logging in under the alternate web address, does not help still getting bad lag. Left a message in the Lag Report, tried to explain what i was dealing with.

The alternative link you posted http://www.us1.darkorbit.com/ gives all the same problems with connection as well as the lag Good try but it helped nothing
I hope these problems with extreme lag and no connection are resolved soon I will NOT put any more $$$ in to uri for a game that cannot be played

 

Yes, I tried us1 and it transfers me to us2 anyways, that I was using already.

 

I am using Opera and I seem to get no connection problems. Maybe it is only the US servers since the Great Britain servers are working great for me.

 

I am sorry that the information I previously provided did not give you a work around to your issue.

We are aware that some players are experiencing more lag than others, we would ask that you go the thread below and add your feedback as to help assist us in resolving this matter.

Here is some feedback. Overhaul the USA West server. You did something to it a few days back that screwed it up. I personally believe that you have lowered the bandwidth. I sent a complaint stating this and the reply did not deny lowering the bandwidth. My ship moves but nothing else does. The problem is on DO's end and obviously you people know it. To keep telling us to erase history and mess with the flash player when you know the problem is on your end is simply dishonest.

Also stop adding things to the game and strip a bunch of it out. this game has gotten worse over the years because you keep adding stuff. The program is to big and you should only add things if you take something away. No more cash from me DO.

 

Guys, first look at how far you live from the server you play.
If you live in the USA, but play on a Europe server, you will experience far more lag, due to the distance data needs to travel.

I live in Texas, and use the USA West server; not a huge distance for data transmission.
Out of several years of playing it, I have only experienced lag problems like this in November 2014, and not another.
So look at how far you live away.

No one really cares that you are going to stop spending cash, there are plenty of others to fill in the holes.

In other words, lag can be on your end, how far away are you guys from your main servers?
