BattleRay and Battle for Influence

I do believe the timing for battle for influence is rather inconvenient. If battle ray is suppose to be fixed then why have an event first where every npc kill counts for 2 points BEFORE ray is fixed? A select few will just ray the whole time and will cover most of a companies points. For the event I propose that interceptor kills not to be counted due to the ray not being adjusted. Otherwise the event does not become fair at all

 

Agreed, GB2 is rife for for bray farmers, 1 user in paticular has been on it pretty much 24hrs a day even before this event began.

It is totally unfair for farmers or (in some peoples eyes "botters, programme users, whatever you want to call them), for these people to be able to reap rewards for literally doing nothing, in some cases absolutely nothing.

 

Thank you very much for your input on this matter. However, as each NPC is worth 2 points for the event there are other NPC's which are easier to kill with less ammo to quickly increase the Influence points.

As for the Battlerays pending repair, that is something that is still being worked on.

ASTRAEA, is there no support staff that can at least look at certain players GB2 in the top 10 and check their logs?

The number 1 player for this event has currently been online for almost 20 hours in the last 24 hrs according to what many people are saying.

Me and a few others have been spending 5 or 6hrs in x-2 map just letting our pets kill strueners and lordakia and we still cannot come anywhere near, it must be phisically impossible for 1 player to do so many hours play per day every day?

As for other NPC,s being easier than the battleray and use less ammo? These guys dont use ANY ammo, just use their Aegis abilities and kami, constant, they never kill the ray...

 

Just like Scoremageddon, people cheat and push and steal and ruin every event. And DO waits too long to deal with it.

 

I don't think they are waiting too long. I think what is happening is that they are biting off more than they can chew. BattleRay should of been fixed BEFORE battle for influence. But sadly that is not the case right now.

 

Think results speak for themselves on this one, both MMO and VRU working there buts off, and still cannot catch EIC.

Look at the scores, we are only just in-front of EIC with both companies added together.

This event is broken event, having spent as many physical hours as I can. And even pushing my exp points up by some 144 million I still cant see how i can get more points...

Surely if the Bray is broken why include those points ?

Yes there are members of the support team that investigate these types of issue. You need to send the support department and message. Please include as much information about the the players in question.

A copy of their exact ship name.
Server Playing
Time issues occur or a detailed description of the issue.

As stated in the Developers Blog:

"the fixes for LoW Gate and Battleray are now being prepared for release. I have to note, however, that it doesn’t mean that those fixes are carved in stone."

I would also add that if you feel a player is using illegal means to play the game or effect the out come of this event. I would ask that you send the information for that situation to support.

Hello guys, there still hope

No one can blame battleray guys, if they can kamikaze, they just can.
This is a problem of rule, which I suggest to you and to developers. Hope Astraea or any mod can send this to dev.

The INTERCEPTORS should not count for influence... I think everyone will agree .. what do you say ?

disagree stupid idea. like saying low gate npc shouldn't count just cos people farm low. or scrap struener just cos they're too easy etc.

Infact the only problem is the macro usage or script usage. farming the bray is fine as everyone farms something. however it is the way they do it, 24 hours and thus, using scripts as their continuous playtime will prove physically impossible so honestly, d.o should have focused on that before putting up influence event

 

since DO has taken too long to fix this Bray I'm officially quitting this game, people sit AFK for 24 hours a day using kami and rep moves and they get top ten rank in months. The fact DO has done NOTHING to deal with these users is ridiculous. Me my wallet and every friend of mine are done, enjoy another group of players lost since we have been waiting on a fix for years regarding bray farming. Im done.

Dont have to send information, your own system shows it, look at the score difference to see that the out come is effected. Simple...

easiest way to change score is turn bray off for event. then see the difference in the scores from that point ;p

Or leave on, and remove any npc score from event for that map ;p


That way you can do solo for personnel rank points, not effect rewards for event. win win for all concerned ...

Who are you to judge a person who stay 24hours ? What do you know about it ? Do you know if have big family ? Do you know if have friends ?

Some people do anything just to win a contest/make uri at night.

This are just some little examples who goes in my head right now.

The best thing is no not count INTERCEPTORS from that map if you wish, or anything related to those interceptors, during the contest.
No one have to suffer

On GA1 the people leading with ridiculous scores are the ones account sharing in 3-2.
Other then that, battleray farmers aren't making as much as someone in an x-2 map spamming 1 shot kills on all the npcs in them.
All it takes is for a single person to go in an wipe the farmers out, not hard at all, i went in yesterday, laggy as hell, and took down a 1 star and 3 more majors who were all aegis and all turned and hit me with kami and kept fighting me. Just saying... Either kill them or go spam the easiest influence point areas.

 

lol you're mad cos people are using cheats or are you just mad people are making more than you?

Most people in this thread are just complaining cos of the bray farming itself, the idea of sitting there kaming non stop. Take a look at what theyre doing, theyre just farming an npc in a different way which "wastes" pet fuel and ammo as the bray isnt being popped itself. Also theyre doing it with at least two people so uri is split.
Seems I need to remind most of the people that this is just another way of making uridium. Just because someone "hogs" it doesn't mean you need to get mad.

IF you are talking about them using scripts and doing so, thats a different story... blame the cheats and NOT the bray because when you get an hour of farming it, its a nice change

I also disagree with removing the influence rewards of an NPC just because people farm it... If bigpoint removed influence rewards for struener/ lordakai, that would cause some uproar as the moaners would start trying to say they're making the event harder

who does not understand how is possible to earn 50k uri per hr just by kamiing and doing nothing, that guy shouldnt even write on this thread. yea it takes time and money to do it but its really not fair against peopel who just shootin bks or pallying/ boxing
