  1. So recently I found out that the design I purchased last year (Vanquisher from MMO) can only be used as an MMO company player. Meaning that if you switch companies and Join VRU, the attributes such as the 7% damage and the 5% influence does not carry over to the new company. Infact, as stated by support in a recent email. If I buy a design from a company, that design can only be used if I am from that company. Which pretty much means, you have to dish out another 150k uri to get this model if you switch companies. I for one think that this is absurd. And to then tell me that I should have read forums regarding the items limitations is preposterous. I mean why not have that info when you are purchasing the item, just like they can detail the fact that you get these attributes and after influence is over, you only keep the 7% damage, they could have also said these attributes are only active if using the proper company design. This way we would know that we would need to invest in a different design. i know some of you guys are gonna say get over it, tough luck, stop crying, but honestly, its a bit misleading to allow players to think that if you switch companies, your attributes would carry over to the next company you join. What do you guys think? Do you think DO did the right thing by excluding this information from the item during purchase? Or that their reasoning behind knowing such information is that i should look at forums? Or for that matter, which should be placed in the idea update section, that if you purchase such a design, that when you leave that company, the design should change automatically to the new company you join?

Same as the "New Hangar" quick switch.....nothing was mentioned in the sale about having to swap everything over before you can actually use the ship!

  3. exactly, I have taken classes on sales, and this is what they do, they provide you with the info that is needed in order to make a sale, all the other stuff that people take into consideration before a purchase is excluded. I just think thats a rotten way to do business.

  4. You buy a design that is a "faction" design for "MMO" and you wonder why it is not working for VRU?

It is common sense.... The only thing I didn't know that did not transfer to other companies was the damage. But I knew the design was for MMO.

No one forcing you to buy the design.

  5. Thats my issue, i dont care about the influence portion of it, but the damage portion is unfair. I mean none of us buy it for influence anyway lol. We buy it for the damage capability for the most part. Infact, I dont think there is any damage addition when you leave. I have to shoot again to see if it atleast gives you 5% damage, but i dont think it does because I used my venom and im hitting harder than I did with the influence design.

  6. Its only 2% over the enforcer?

Enforcer gives 5%. Unless you are shooting 100k Damage, you will not see much of a difference with 2%. Even as a UFE, the max difference you see will be about 2k Damage.

Just save the influence design for the next event.

  7. Yeh i guess, but as a UFE ship, the difference is definitely noted. I guess Im just more upset at the fact that this information isnt present at the time of purchase. Not everyone is going to look at forums to see if there is more info on something than what is already placed in the shop. I just hate not having that additional 2% damage. It really comes in handy when battling a group of players. It definitely gives you and edge. But oh well, I guess I will have to just make do and try different battle techniques to over come it. After all this game is full of learning how to adjust to new challenges.

  8. I believed I saw "MMO" on the description.

    Plus, it says here:

Any game that says "faction" item, that means the item only works for that faction it is made for.

  9. I understand that its a faction item, but what i am saying is that it should change when you change companies. I dunno, I just thinks it bogus that if we wanted that additional damage, we need to spend 150k uri again for it. But its a business so eh..

  10. For me, I have the Sovereign design, and I'm in VRU. The 7% damage bonus seems to be working, tested it myself.

  11. It is not up to you to device whether that 2% dmg will change something or not. He is right with what he said, it's a design that costs a lot. If someone wants to have it, they need to be able to use it no matter what.

  12. Who said it was up to me? That 2% is called game mechanics. That 2% will only add about 50 damage to normal laser fire. He is complaining that he bought a "faction" design that only works with "the faction". There are 3 designs, 1 per faction. What makes you think that your design changes when you change companies? What did you base that information from?

Though, if you wish to make a "suggestion" to allow this design to "change colors" when you switch factions then that is different. But he made a comment saying he bought a design that only works with 1 company. Which common sense dictates that that was the purpose of the design when you buy a "faction" Item.

  13. I was complaining about this, exactly.

  14. Then use the design on the intended company. Darkorbit is trying to bring in a new feature called "Loyalty". Which is why we are getting "Faction" stuff now.

  15. If they are bringing Loyalty, then they will have to consider that most people often change companies. 150k uri for someone who had hard time collecting them (not buying) is too much.

  16. Definition of Loyalty?

a strong feeling of support or allegiance.

IF you change factions while they do the loyalty feature. Then you are only hurting yourself. IDK why people keep changing. Its not like every company has different maps. They are just different color backgrounds. You wasting 5k uri and half your honor for no reason.

  17. As Vintage said, those designs are for people who stay LOYAL to their COMPANY, hence the COMPANY DESIGN.
    Well said

You guys seriously need the item description to explicitly state that the bonuses for a specific company design won't work for other companies?

That's like saying The US and Great Britain has their own software that is unique to them and the countries can use the other's software. It doesn't work like that.

    Common sense, guys.

  19. Yes it is <3

  20. I have a feeling they thought of that, which was why the chose to put company specific ship designs in the game. If you choose not to be loyal only you can be blamed for the problem you're complaining about.
