UFE's keep cheating, just some thoughts

I got frustrated a bit today, and just wanted to share some thoughts (or, to be more precise, express my self. Feel free to discuss.).

As usual, I was boxing on my PvP map. Everything was nice and easy, somehow it felt strange you know. No cheaters, strange. And than, UFE MMO Goliath came to the map. And, things started to happen. First, he insta locked me from far distance, and started attacking. I said, you know, its ok. I am in Spearhead, two speed configurations, not a big deal. But, that's the moment when fun started. I can't use the mini map, it's just "blocked". So, I must have one hand on the map to make directions on my ship. Nice, I got over it. Made a good distance (almost half map distance with him). Got safe on port, pressed J while still moving far away from port, and he suddenly attacked me from half map distance. I mean, what?? (Yes, I didn't got any lag, preety usual FPS). Ok, I said, let's make more distance and go to another port. I did so, made even better distance. I had lock on him, I saw he is still chasing me even though I had such a big distance (you know, if I was chasing someone like that I would give up, it's not possible to catch him). But, he didn't gave up. Pressed J on the EIC port, I got attacked again (I am VRU). Nice, very nice. I repeat, got attacked from half map away. By the way, mini map still not working. After that, I have used "Ultimate cloak" and saved my URI/Repair credits. If i were in Vengeance, I would be dead. I won't be able to escape, cause he/she will always attack me when I get to port.

Anyone experienced this before?

Conclusion: Those who finance DO, to keep this game alive, in the same time they destroy the game.

I don't know what's the situation on the other servers, I am on Global Europe 7. Some time ago, before this cheating started massive on DO, and before UFE's started using it more often (I don't know why, they are UFE, they can kill everyone), I could see BIGBOY's on PvP map boxing. Even those slow ships were used to box. But now, I can't see anything else from Spearhead. And that's not all, my friends (and not just my friends, even more people on the server) started using Spearhead like on daily basis, not just for boxing and stuff. They started going uppers, killing Kristallons, Boss Kristallons, even ubers. Why? It's obvious, I guess. UFE's use Goliaths cause of the fire power, the one way to survive is to use something that can out speed them (Spearhead, I mean, with Ultimate cloak, in case they use cheat). I have also starting considering this option, why would I want to get killed every time I do BK's or BKK's?

This post wrote player with 26PP, maxed defensive first line(except Evasive II 2/3 points and Engineering 1/5). So, if I can't even survive outside of Spearhead, how can a new player, survive? I can't imagine my self starting new account on some server now. I guess I won't be able even to box on X-2 map.

With this, I just wanted to point out some critical issues in the game. I hope that maybe some admin will see this, and pass it further to support. As I said above, feel free to discuss and sorry about the longer post.

GB1 is full of those cheating player's all UFE, pointless to even mention it here in forums or even to support, what you should be doing is contacting the CEO of BP Khaled Helioui on FB & or Twitter explaining the situation and your concerns. All the real concerns about this game never get through as they're always locked and discredited by a forum mod etc.

 

In english forum , mods are really nice actually . On Ge1 you encounter these types of situations too .

 

The problem is that DO acts like Bill Clinton, they deny the existence of things. Just like Bill denied that he ever had sexual contact with Monica, is the same way DO will deny the cheats are here. Look how long it took for them to remove botters and hackers. Remember when you were allowed to send DO screen shots and even video footage of cheaters who used HP hacks and damage hacks? All of the sudden DO removed it. Makes you wonder doesnt it? Im not saying that DO is for the cheats, but i do believe that if those who use cheats spend money on the acct, they wont go after them too much. This is just my opinion based on the things I have seen. I am a UFE and I have battled non UFE players in 4-4 maps and the guys have no hp and endless shield and they never pop but i do. But whats the point of complaining when the truth is, not much will be done. I think what has happened was that DO noticed the death of serves once they got rid of the cheaters, and a third wave of bans will completely obliterate servers and therefore they will be picky with who they ban.

 

It's a pretty common glitch.
If you are using your mouse to navigate on the space map, and you hit port while still moving, on the game screen to other players, you'll stop moving and sit on port.

To fix the minimap, simply re-size it. Hit that + or - button, and it will work. Then click behind a portal (navigate with minimap, click the area far behind a portal and it will keep moving there, even after the jump.

 

I understand it can be fixed like this, but in the middle of the fight, I am not really sure that I can do this.

 

I found the CEO on twitter, I guess I will send him a message to notify about all of this things. I will also contact support now, and explain everything. I really don't have any more ideas what to do, as these cheaters keep on growing and growing, destroying servers. I don't get what will be their satisfaction if the players that don't cheat, let's say, stop playing this game cause of the stuff I have written?

 

Sounds exactly like high latency. Your ship is on once place in the map on your screen but in reality it is somewhere else.

Lasers have a range, this range is server side so cannot be interfered with. He is not shooting you half way across the map, he is right next to you in reality.

How it is up to the latency every time I press J on PvP map to jump? Just don't get it.

 

FPS has nothing to do with latency.
Ping isn't constant either, I can do a ping test now and get great ping but in a hour it might drop, if only for a couple of minutes or even a couple of seconds.

When I go back to home for the holidays I have terrible internet and ping issues are very common for me. What you are describing is word for word what I have had happen to me countless times if I play from my home internet. I will upload a video showing you exactly what I mean.

This is a example of what happened to you but with worse latency. You can see from 0:00 - 0:35 everything is fine then there is a massive spike in latency and the game freezes but I can still move my ship around, no fps drops etc. Then at 0:53 my internet returns to normal and what I am seeing catches up on my screen.

What you had is the same issue but not as bad, you could still see the damage normally (which is coming from to server to you, opposite of where your ship moves which is a command from you to the server) but your ship was in the wrong place.

As you can see after I die things return back to normal, if I then went to do a ping test it would show a normal ping. The issue lasted for roughly 20 seconds then went completely away.

 

in darkorbit doesnt depends if u have 100 FPS or 10 , u will get lags anyways , thats one of lag and it happened to me few times also already.

if you are on a battle map and someone is shooting you forget about the portal and use only jump cpu2 in HOTKEY, that will be your best bet

 

Why should I forget the jump portal, when I out speed all those Goliath hunters? I don't see any reason for that.

 

Okapi, I know exactly what latency is. If you read my post again, you will see that he followed me all the time, cause I had lock on him even he is half map away. Do you get it? He was following me all the time. While I was running away, he wasn't shooting me back. When I get to any portal, press J he starts shooting! I circled next time 2-3 mins, and tried to do the same. Got to portal, he shot again on me. I don't know why are you making my post sound like latency issues, where there are no latency issues. I know how to recognize them, and I won't have said anything if that was the case. How can some UFE's shoot me without "latency" issues, and I am able to jump regulary, and how I always see the effect of those latency issues when some UFE's hunt me and I try to jump while moving around?

Do you know how to do a proper running jump? If you don't do it properly once you press J your ship stays still. Would explain why he catches up and start shooting you after you press J.
In one post you say he was shooting you from across the map then in another you say he was following you to portal, it's hard to follow along what exactly you mean.

If he was shooting you from across the map is it latency, if he is shooting you every time you press J then you are failing to do a proper running jump.

 

Explain me that proper jump, I am just amazed that there are two types of jump (playing this game for years, really).

By following me, I mean just going after me based on what I see on map, ok? He is not right after my tail shooting me, he is just running on the path i fly. When I get to port, he was something less than half map away from me, I had lock on his ship so I can see what is he doing. While I was heading to the port, he didn't shooted me. I was too far away from him! When I pressed jump and kept moving in a straight line so he won't come to me (and he can't come close, even if I stay still on map, it's half map distance, not possible for Goliath), than this players start attacking. What is interesting, they only fire 1 shot so the jump is canceled. After that, the attack is stopped and I have to try and run to another port maybe, or if I am tired, it's free honor and experience for them.

 

Click on the minimap and set your ship to fly behind the portal and press J. Never click anywhere else on the screen, if you use the mouse and hold down to fly as soon as you press J your ship will freeze on the spot allowing people to catch up and shoot you.
Sounds like you didn't do a proper running jump because you minimap was frozen so you couldn't do one.

 

I am constantly clicking on the map all the time, it is just my style to do so if I can't use the mini map. I just had one Goliath hunting me on PvP map, and he was like really close to me and I managed to escape on my home maps. (didn't used the mini map too for escaping)

The distance I am talking about is this (even if I stay still, he can't reach me for sure):

 

"even if I stay still, he can't reach me for sure" - how do you know this? Are you going to tell me now you sat still and he did not shoot you? Your story keeps on evolving to make more issues.

You said on your original post he locked you from far distance and started attacking. Since lasers have a range and that range is server side so cannot be changed in any way by a client that means it is latency issues with you.
Then you said every time you pressed J you would get shot, turns out you don't know how to do a running jump despite years of playing so that was your issue there.

Now you are saying you only got shot when you were jumping port but if you stood still you would never get shot? Why add this now after I have been giving you explanations and not in your first post. Right now it just seems to me that you want any excuse to be the victim here.

I'm trying to help you understand the situation you were in, if you are going to keep on changing it every time I give an explanation then why are you even answering. As I said I have been in your situation countless times where someone has been shooting me from what is across the map on my screen. I know what it's like. I also know what it's like to have people do exactly what you are doing now, accusing someone for doing something that hey have nothing to do with.
It was not that users fault that you didn't know how to do a running jump and that you had latency issues.
