Eliminating Anarchy

    Does any one else see a problem when the number 40 player from one company teams up with the number 58 player of one of the others and rolls around helping each other? It is so blatant their names are mirror images of each other.

    This game is billed as having a three company structure and as such the game should enforce rules that prevent Anarchy, not reward backstabbing double-crossers.

    At the very least I would think that our companies would not bestow the highest ranks on pilots that engage in behavior/activities that are contrary to the companies goals.

    These turncoat players get away with it because they are seldom the first shooter. The developers have enough problems on their hands then to figure out an algorithm that separates accidental and limited events from one in which a player or clan is engaged in dishonorable behavior where they are preying on their own company.

    In order to restore order to the game I would propose that Multi-company clans and Alliance result in all members being tagged as outlaws and reduction in rank. These players would be ineligible for the top eight ranks.

    Bad gamesmanship should not be rewarded.

    Punishing or removing the concept of multi company clans or alliances wouldn't solve the situation that you don't like, it's just the go to thing that people latch onto because it's the most obvious.
    Say DO did remove the ability to have an alliance with another company clan. What happens? Players who are friends in other companies still help each other but they just don't have green text as their clan tag colour. Nothing changes.

    DO can't dictate which people are friends with who and if somebody wants to hunt with a friend who is another company they will do it, regardless of alliances or being in the same clan.

  3. We should be free to shoot these 'allied,' supposedly at will. Any playa with a multi-Company alliance is poof for me. I have shot these multi- Company (my own Company and these crazy allied) playas and lost honor :mad: Bunch of #$%^&*&*(*

    I disagree as the three company system (Factions) is the basic concept of the Game. To stay true to this concept (Galactic Struggle) the Game must enforce the structure and impose a penalty for playing outside the intended rules. If you want to play a game were backstabbing and treachery is embraced go find one.

    Okapi32 do you propose that the game should devolve into a free for all? We shouldn't have to constantly watch our backs. If it is truly important to play on the same team as your friends then they should all switch to the same company.

    I concur that my proposed solution is not the best solution - deceitful players may remain deceitful. I would make it that you are unable to fire upon your own company PERIOD, unless you are first at War and both sides have agreed to be at War. If you declare War on me and I opt out then I cannot be fired on.

    I don't propose any changes.

    Multi company clans have always existed its just more people complain about them now than every because they are stronger as a result of more UFE players being part of them. Which is another matter in itself that has happened because less server activity making people to want more wars and more conflict in their own company, which is easy to achieve by being multi company.

    I think it's just a knock on effect from all the other problems with DO and has no quick solution.

    there are no companies on my server anymore .there are just clan wars . multi company clans fight against multi company clans . its more fun and that's the only way we can get fights .stop complaining so much .its a pvp game . friend are gonna help friends no matter what , if u don't like it , play farmerama or battlestar galactica
     
  7. Your incredibly quick to want someone else to leave the game because they have a problem with a system in the game that is of legitimate concern, your dribble makes me sick.

    This, though the complaining part isn't just about them being strong, its about them destroying companies and servers and dissolving the structure that this game is suppose to have but of course no real fix and another problem all thanks to DO, valid concern is valid! Your evil logic knows no bounds, I will have none of it. Seriously though, I pretty much agree lol.
     
  8. I've always rolled with the changes, even though it's only been two years. I have respect and admiration for clans, even much hated ones who play with brutal but elegant strategy, especially if it unifies my company against them.

    The situation on my server now in my company is the result of a series of power struggles, and currently the clan on top is going all Tony Montana on everyone in our Company while allying themselves with their sister clan in another company. Same as it ever was. I've changed companies once and I'll do it again if I have to, except for the fact that I left the last company for the same reason. Seems like a good time to do gates, get in some nice PvPs in Palli and lay low until the new bosses get taken out, as they always do eventually.

    I will say this:"Anarchy" might be bad for DO's bottom line if enough players decide that they'll just lay low until things sort themselves out. Bright side? Less lag, and spaceball with twelve people.

    because the game is already dead ,that's basically the only thing keeping it alive , especially on the not so populated servers ,so if they don't want multi company clans anymore , the game is gonna die especially on those servers . the only solution is combining servers . so ofc I want them to leave if they want to kill the game even further
     
  10. I agree, this doesnt solve anything. If anything, the issue should be taken to the players to change that behavior, and the truth is it will not make a difference.
     
  11. Server merges are evil, we've been over this silly, they want a system within to game to work as designed, nothing wrong with that, the only real solution is for DO to wake the hell up and fix some things :).

    Mergers will bring the game to it's knees even faster. Don't ask me why, ask Boss Adam. He's more knowledgeable then me on this (Sorry Boss)

    As for issues, Personally, I think the only thing that BP has to do is increase NPC rewards (without changing prices) and have more Company-Player interaction.

The only way to really solve these issues is to make the companies balanced, It's impossible to play this game when one company out numbers yours 4 to 1 easy and then u add the company traitors to this and it becomes next to impossible to play the game at all. I agree that maybe DO needs to make it so you can't shoot your own company, really the only reason MOST of us shoot our own company now is because of NPC stealing,pushing at least this would restore team playing.
    I understand this is a PvP game but, having a balanced game is also necessary in order for everyone to play.

    I have been saying this since I started playing this game in 2008 2009, we need a PVP Flag system same as the one they use in World of Warcraft which is flawless, any that PVP on World of Warcraft know that the "Flag System" they use is second to none.

    1: A player can only be attacked if they're in a PVP map which by default everyone is automatically flagged for PVP
    2: A player can only be attacked in their own company maps if they're "flagged" for PVP
    3: A player that has been "flagged" for PVP can only attack those already "flagged" for PVP, after they have "flagged" for PVP and no longer wish to PVP there would be a 10 minute cool down timer, when the timer expires you're no longer "flagged" for PVP and can go about your business without fear of being attacked by the enemy and or your own company.

    I really do believe this "flag system" would breath new life back into the game and bring back much needed player's :)

  16. That's just gonna make people leave the game or something. Want to avoid PvP? Don't go to PvP maps.
    The only people you'd end up finding are boxers, but most of them are in Vengis, or spears, so your idea will bring the game to an end. So bad that the devs skip right over it :rolleyes:

  17. With dealing with battle map fights and uppers. There is nothing more confusing that your own company in a battle where you cannot tell who is who. Any clan that is multi company should be red in the maps. As soon as you have players in another company sitting in your clan you are red to the company

    Its an easy solution. You can pact with a company but having those ships in clan is a change to red.

  18. My clan is #1 in USA West, and we warred almost all of vru(the top company) we hae both members in eic and vru, it is very fun

    why do you think we just send war to everybody xD seriously the server I play on ,there's no company against company , its clans vs clans or actually in our case ,clan cs clans xD , so players vs players .more fun and we are not restricted to a company
