  1. So many of you know that during the influence event, you can purchase the superior design that gives 7% more damage and 5% more influence. But did you know that those designs only work when you are still part of the company you purchased it for? Meaning, say you are from MMO and you buy the Vanquisher design. The 7% damage and 5% influence gets lost if you change companies and the design is pretty much useless. Instead what DO wants you to do is plop another 150K for another design. What I propose is this. If you buy the Vanquisher and you end up leaving MMO and joining EIC or VRU, then the ship should automatically change to the color of the new company and you should still keep the attributes you so rightfully paid for. Not ask us to dish out 150K every time its available so that we can use it in our new company. AND, if DO doesnt do that, then they should atleast provide that information during purchase instead of asking players to look up that information in forums.

  2. I have the Sovereign design as a VRU. It works for me. I'll retest it later to make sure, and attach a video.

  3. Hi Killer, as per support the damage is lost when you switch companies.

  4. Mk, I'll test it soon and post to double check.

    sound reason :)
I've always hated how a vru wearing a blue (sovereign) design comes hunting in eic and it's difficult to tell him apart when there are lots of eic with the same design.
Maybe it should be 1 design which is either blue, red or green for whichever company you're in and you get the bonus. (they can easily compensate the players who bought the other two designs)

Agree with your idea though :) they should have mentioned it

  6. Hello GHOSTofMarz, I have the vanquisher design and I am currently in EIC. Since in the description it never says that you loose the 5% damage when you switch companies, then theoretically you shouldn't loose the damage. The only thing that it really says is, "this is if for most loyal... blah blah". If they don't express this in the description, then my next guess would be that you do contain the 5% damage even if you switch companies.

    e.g.

The best way to test this is put 10 LF-3 lasers on your ship test with naked lasers, then put vanquisher (or any other influence ship) on and see if the damage increases if you hit an enemy.

Assuming you don't have LF-3's upgraded:

    10 LF-3 Laser: 1500 Damage
    10 LF-3 Laser (w/ influence ship): 1500 * 0.07 = 105 + 1500 = 1605 Damage

Not sure if you could see the difference on the game. If not, add more damage. :)

  7. hi Supernova and thanks for your response. I sent support a question. i asked them do I keep my 7% damage if i switch companies. They told me that no I do not. Those attributes only work if you have the proper design for the company you are in. I had a lengthy conversation with them regarding this. At the end, they refused to talk about it any more when i told them that it was completely unfair that the description is not full and that they purposely left out that information so that people would be naive enough to purchase it once and then learn that they need to purchase a new design. So pretty much, its about the money, not the player. because honestly, telling a person that the information about how the design works is located in forums is not proper. It should be included in the shop description. And yes, i dont hit as hard in the design when i am in a diff company affiliation.

  8. Well, guess I'm gonna save up for Peacekeeper :/

  9. Thank you for clarifying this. I agree they definitely need to put this in the description. I may like the vanquisher the best even though I'm in EIC. Oh well I still like the look of it. :D I like your idea. +1 for me. Making it where your ship changes color would be the best way to do it. Look at the Veteran and Elite Designs. The same concept should be added to the influence ships.

  10. But the loyalty doe! That's my one bit of opposition to this insidious idea :(, it should be clarified in the description during time of purchase though.

  11. I just recorded a damage test with Sovereign. 1 LF4 equipped, shot enemy, etc., I'll enhance it, and upload it below tomorrow or something.

Or come over to EIC ;) (only 5,000 urid :p)
OFF TOPIC: You're level 20 but your signature shows level 19 :)

  13. Or just use enforcer... 2% damage is nothing, even if you hit decently. And if you want the looks the. Big deal you're missing out on 7% damage lol

Players should only be given the choice to purchase their own company loyal design and if they switch then the design switches to the company they are in. People who have purchased 2 or 3 of these wrong company designs should be given back their uri and only left with their own company design.

    That would certainly be ideal

  17. Well 2% is actually a big deal. Thats the point of purchasing the item. No one really buys it because it gives you 5% influence, you buy it for the damage increase. that 2% can be the determining factor in winning a pvp or hunting or being hunted. Im just saying, if you purchased the item. You should keep that damage, regardless of the company it was bought for. Yes loyalty terms are nothing more than a gimmick to influence your buying options. It is supposed to make you feel like you are contributing to something bigger (Marketing schemes, you can find this anywhere). Its almost like saying hi buy this, 7% blah blah 5% blah blah, then in tiny microscopic words, is the fine print. My proposal is to keep what you bought. Perhaps give you the option to switch the design to your current company via a 10K uri payment. BUt telling us that we can only have access to that damage if we have the right company affiliation is sad. And the fact that the description can be found in forums is downright stupid. The information should be there in the shop not in forums, again proper marketing schemes put in place by DO. Im just saying as I have said several times. This is your ship, You paid 150K uri for it. You should atleast be able to keep the damage regardless of what company you go to. And to be honest the color should change automatically. i can see how a person flying a vanquisher who is now a VRU member can cause some confusion to mmo players especially those who dont know better than to just assume the red ship is a friendly regardless of the red dot.

5% or 7%. It will certainly make a difference in the long run. But that's a topic of it's own.

It's unfair if the design doesn't work when moving companies. They ought to change it.

  19. Thank you Seraphim. Thats the point I tried to make. The problem is, DO would view it as a loss of money because that means that you will not buy a second design. But just like all the other designs. They transfer to whatever company you are in. If DO wants to keep its players. They need to stop focusing so much on making money, and make their players happy instead. This of course would be one step because it will allow you to change companies. The loyalty gimmick is mainly for the company itself. But You should carry your attributes over to whatever company you change to.
