  1. The issue here is the amount of uri that it costs. All i am saying is that you take your ship design with you when you change companies. To better put it, its like taking a battleship from the US, defect to the North Koreans. The battle ship will not lose its power. SO if you buy this ship to help one company, when you decide to leave, that design itself should then change according to the company you are in, This has nothing to do with loyalty. This is DO's way of making excuses for players to spend more money on things like this if they want it. I get the influence thing, thats ok, i get it, but the damage, it even says that once the event is over, the 7% damage remains.

  2. Actually. Most likely the Koreans won't know how to use the American Battleship so it becomes weaker due to lack of knownledge of how to use the ship. Just like Jets. You fly American Fighter jets but then you need to learn how to fly a Russian Jet if you switch your loyalties to Russia.

  3. you are missing my point. But lemme try it this way. An american naval gets tired of US and defects to North Korea. Now the Americans know how to use the ship, RThere lmao.

  4. No,

Just stop trying to blame Darkorbit for a mistake that you made.

You bought an item, you thought it did something else.

Even if you did know what it does, you bought it understanding it was a Faction item. It even says it in the description that it is a faction item.

If you do not like it, go to Update and ideas section, make a thread about a idea to change how the Design works.

Other than that, there is nothing wrong with the design as it was intended to be made.

  5. The solution to your problem is if you want to jump fractions all the time get all the designs. The price you pay for being disloyal is about 450 k .

I totally understand what you're saying not like some in this thread, it's like if I bought an Aegis when in EIC if I changed faction the colour of the Aegis automatically changes colour to the new factions colour. All this "Loyalty" nonsense is just another way for BP to fleece us out of more ££$$ and that is all it is!

  7. Actually, Alot of very popular games use Loyalty and Faction items. IE, Eve, Aion, ETC. Darkorbit is just using ideas that work for other companies. The players just like switching companies, so that is their fault. No one is telling you to switch companies 10 times a day. That is your choice, so your design reflect on that.

You're quoting the wrong person, I don't change faction, go pick an argument somewhere else, or are you just trying to increase your forum score as per usual? I don't give a hoot what you think!

  9. That is what I was referring to. People complain about the loyalty when all they really hate that they cannot get one item for all 3 companies when the item is created for only 1. I said "players"; Meaning as in general but I use the word "you" as an example.

And no, I don't really care about my Post count or anything like that. I have an opinion and my opinion is that most players love to switch companies. I can't go 1 week without seeing someone I know change companies. Then they wonder why their Honor so low or why people attack them so much.

If I really cared about my Post count, I would be at 5k posts in 2 months like my old account but this one only has 300 in over a year.

  10. Hey traitor go lose 450000 uri  Go ahead make DO aka BigPoints day ;)

  11. LOL, wow i think this topic went a bit off course.
ALl i am saying is that its unfair, its your ship and you paid for it. Those attributes should automatically switch. The terms loyalty blah blah are gimmicky.

  12. Play any other game with the "loyalty" feature and see if items change when you switch companies or factions.

Eve. You get standings by working for a specific company. You can only buy stuff from a company if the company likes you. You cannot use the special designs on another company if choose to switch.

Aion. You pick one faction and your stuck with it. You can use your Account warehouse to transfer gear and items but there are certain items that only work for one "faction" but each side has it's own version.

    WoW. Same as Aion

Make your life easier, stick with one company and don't switch. I played EIC and only EIC since I started playing back in 2006. I had one account where I switched to VRU. It was a waste of time. I wasted 5k uri and 6m honor to switch to a company where everything was exactly the same as EIC. The only difference is the color of the maps.

You bought a "faction" item that works for MMO. Stop complaining. It is how it is suppose to work. The Elite skill designs are not "faction" designs. They are just special designs. You complaining about this is like buying a cold air intake. You pay $300 for a cold air intake that is designed for a 2007 Ford Mustang GT then you try to put it on a 2007 Chevy Camaro and now you complaining that the product don't work.

  13. You lose honor, loser of uri  and

  14. In a weird way, I think if you switch companies, the design should still work against the third company, if you switch. It obviously won't work against the original company you started at, and bought the design for (that would be just dumb), and it also shouldn't work against the second that you switched to either. But that THIRD company....LOOK OUT !! uuuu gonna get it !!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

  15. The way i see it, and the way it was explained initially when the design came out the prior year is that the only attribute that is lost after the event is over is the 5% influence, however you keep the 7% damage. My issue, regardless of wording is that this item when purchased, should clearly state that the design is only effective if it remains in the company you bought it from. Assuming that people will know that it wont work if switching companies is a complete lack of understanding of the human factor. To think that everyone will assume or know that it wont work because of the cliche wording is downright insulting. This is my issue with the subject at hand. Thats why stated that it is wrong for DO to put the actual description of the item in forums as opposed to the shop. During a purchase it should clearly state this information. Not everyone is going to think that the information about the design is going to be in forums. We tend to expect people to understand our logic simply because it is "OUR LOGIC". So thats why I made the issue. I know DO wont change this, because they want money. Its always been about the money, and I understand it and respect it. Hence why alot of us spend money. To get the better items and to have stronger ships. All I am saying, is that excluding vital information during the sale of an item is misleading. Not everyone is going to assume nor know that the item will only work for the company purchased.

  16. I was trying to think logically for my post :). But I was also being cheeky too. I agree with the main point, that the item should have a proper and accurate description in the shop.
