I think the timer for ores placed on engines should work the same as boosters (only running while in game). It is not an issue of supply, but the hassle of having to figure out how much I will need only to end up wasting some of the time left. I have heard other players mention this or I would not have even thought of it myself. Also if anyone knows a reason why the timer would run all the time please let me know.

  2. Because Murica'! 1 rock = 1 minute, simple. Why not have this idea for shields to? Bias against shields I see. I don't see much need for this idea...

That was including shields the idea is so it doesn't run out while we are logged off it works the same for boosters so why not.

But they are so easily made and sent 200 min. send time 2mins. The servers don't need anymore work they hardly can keep up now

  5. Because Ore is cheap and easy to get. Boosters cost uri to get and if they run while you are offline, then it is a waste of Uri. Ore is free and easy to get and if you run out of time, then just go to your skylab and get more for your ship.

I don't play much nowadays but when I did, I sent 1,000 seprom and 1,00 promerium on a certain day of the week.. for example sunday.
Sep on shields, promerium on speed gens and you'll be sorted for a whole week. for a non prem player, that's 4 hours of skylab time (i think).

And what everyone above has said^^

I swear some people just comment to add more replies to their account. This has been mentioned by several other players so I know its not just me.

  8. This is my very first time hearing anyone complain/ask of this.
But as others said, it's too easy to get, that it should not be a bother.
Here's what I do. I got a Goliath with the cargo compression, so 3,000 space. Every Friday evening/night, I send 1,500 Seprom and 1,500 Prom to the ship. The following morning, I get on, and apply the ores I sent to the Engines and Shields. I'm set for the whole week, and keep repeating it.
The beauty of this? 7 days in a week, 24 hours a day, so there's 10,080 minutes per week. 1,500 units of Seprom/Prom sets you for 15,000 minutes, and if you manage to do it each week for a while, you can forget it once or twice, and still have enough to keep going!
Currently rolling at 69,580 on both engines and shields :D

  9. This might be a little off topic, but your almost level 20. :D Congratulations my friend. :)

  10. How dare you insult and take offense to my post pushing!

Slightly on-topic: Send 10k of each rock and be set for like ever :).

Oh yeah I'm sorry for replying to your thread in disagreement.. and somehow that means I'm commenting to "add points to my post count".

For all I care BP can reset it. Like I said I don't play much nowadays so it doesn't bother me one bit. And it didn't bother me before that.

Maybe you ought to stick to the topic at hand and make your posts relevant to the thread topic. You can start by reading what I and everyone else wrote!

  13. Nah, it's not worth it. Really. For an hour of gameplay you need 6 step and 6 promerium. 6 sep takes 10 secs to come from Skylab. 6 prom takes the death of an lk. A lot of people just send 5000 step to shields and the. They're good for.... For more than a month. Lol

Maybe we should have the OPTION to make it in game only but with a twist. 1 ore only gives 5 minutes of IN GAME time as opposed to the option of 10 minutes in game and out too.
