  1. What if chain impulse is changed to Neurological Impulse Attack? It selects an npc, and you could control higher levels of no up to a cube, but no bosses or burrs could be controlled. Or emperors. E.g. Level 20 gives access to control cube for 1 minute, 16-18 BK, 15 lk's and sibelonits, 14 lordakium and so on? As is chain impulse sucks

    Maybe chain impulse could be changed to a splash damage tech.
    When activated, 10% of the damage dealt to player/npc is splashed to overlapping npc/players or those very very close to the npc being shot. Lasts 10 seconds.

    e.g. 10 bks in a tight spot.
    shoot one dealing 20k damage per hit. lets ignore rockets/hellstorms for now
    activate the splash tech.
    continue dealing 20k damage per hit to the shot bk.
    deals 2k per each laser volley to the other 9 bks in that spot until the tech ends.

    chain impulse sucks big time.. so change it entirely?
     
  3. Make it something like a repetitive kami eh? Concept isn't bad, if it were old times. But not people can hit 100k x4 and 250k x4 rsb combos. Imagine someone shooting a module on a cbs doing 80k x4 comboing for about 170k? Then what? And how about poor cubes and battle rays? Anyone who's good could easily destroy all the protegits constantly and take little to no damage. Eg player hits cube x4 50k, prots all dead before cube shields are down, and that's without kami. I like the idea.... We'll see I guess. Also, does ammo effect what happens? E.g you use SAB and you get 10% + normal shield gain from SAB?

    What would be the range of the splash?


    I would say that currently, the precision targeter is the only Tech that is actually worth it AND helpful in battle.

    I don't want to delve into it too much as it's a separate idea from the OPs thread. 250k combos would only cause only a 25k splash at most which is far inferior to kami. In addition to this the tech would cost (obviously if it turns out to be pretty good, the cost would naturally be high). 10 seconds is more than enough for players to disperse away from the splash techs range.
    prots would be a problem though I guess.. bray wouldn't given the tech's cost. It could be lower than 10%?

    Someone asked about it's range. I was thinking it should be very small. e.g. only npcs/players which overlap the reticle of the npc you're shooting.

    Either way, chain impulse serves no useful purpose so I think it should be gone :)

    Wait.
    It can b saved as a tech item, make it stay 10k damage but have it paralyze the targets from moving but not firing while the volley continues till all the npc's targeted are destroyed.
    also make it so while chain impulse is active all other non targeted npc's stay away from the ship.
    cool down should b boosted to 4 min. and a -10% penalty to speed should b added during cool down that starts when the last target is destroyed.

    Chain impulse should be buffed up to 30k damage for 5 seconds or 5 volleys of ammo.

    Maybe you should read what chain impulse actually does. There is no seconds or per volley thing at all.

    Yes, I understand that the chain impulse is an instant use item with no duration, I'm just proposing that in addition to the 30k max damage buff there should be a duration as well.

    Tech needs to be updated since this is no longer a "35k x4" damage game....

  13. Its good to see this thread going in a positive and constructive direction and the idea's are all interesting so far :).

    This wouldn't be a buff but something similar to this would be an improvement. 5 volleys that deal maybe 25k damage to up to 7 targets.

    I really don't know what to make of this lol, I feel like its OP but its kind of interesting.

    I got lost at post 20 on everything else :(.
     
  14. 1. Be nice if chain lighting CHAINED the enemies to you, which in turn makes the citadel fortress ability useful or ceasing escape by faster ships but can be canceled by emp as ice and what not

    2. Perhaps like 50% replaced than 125% shield regeneration speed for 3/4 of cooldown period or 50% shields to both configs

    3. I think this new tech like a radar burst to show all map or cancel others map would be nice to see

Easy fix, just prolong the cool down and decrease the time of use, as for your original idea, i like it but i dont se it as realistic, by control i assume you mean you could move it around and make it aid you, which would be good but, you know those ufe's who troll in x-6 already, lets help them by adding a CUBE to their array?
