  1. Hello, me and few others would like to hear an official answer about Spaceball and the amount of boxes appearing when a goal is scored. What aspects affect the amount?

Is it total players in 4-4? Scoring company players? Amount of people near gate? Amount of people shooting the ball (if so, does it matter how long people shoot the ball?) ? Time ball takes to reach gate? Mix of everything?

Could some mod pass this to developers and ask about this, I would like to hear how it really goes. Not just something random like "the more people the more boxes", yes, ofc. but lets say if 3 more people come to gate how many more boxes will there be? There must be an algorithm that calculates this, since when only few people are in the gate we get few boxes and when tons of people are in gate we get tons of boxes.

I made a similar question before a month about this and there is not excact amount, but I know that the more players hit it, the more cargo it gives and the damage determines the speed of it.

  3. Agree w Enigmatic

When the spaceball is moving you will see arrows depending on how hard the spaceball is being shot. The more arrows the more cargo is dropped when a goal is scored. This is not official, but what i've noticed through many spaceball events played.

  4. Hello Darkomaani,

Enigmatic is correct. The harder you hit the Space Ball, the faster it moves. The more people hitting it, the more boxes it spawns when you score a goal.

Do you (the original poster) have and further questions?

    Have a nice day!

  5. Yeah, this is what I have been noticing too. But it seems sometimes that when there are 0 people in the jump gate and 5 people shoot the ball to the gate, we get much less boxes than if there would have been 20 people afk in the gate and 3 people shot the ball. Are you absolutely sure that the only thing affecting the amount of boxes is the amount of people shooting the ball and absolutely nothing else? This has been under lots of debate inside my server.

Does the amount of people shooting only matter when the ball hits the gate?
    2 situations.
A: 50 people shoot the ball from middle to the gate with x4
B: 1 people shoot the ball from middle to near gate and in gate 49 more start shooting with x1 (so amount of people shooting at end is 50)
Will we have same amount of boxes in the cases A and B ?

You have a nice day too!

  6. From experience I say it would be the same in scenario A and B.

Enigmatic said it best, damage controls speed, but only the amount of people shooting it when it scores determines cargo drop. AFK players do nothing to help, scoring company players need lock on spaceball and shooting it.

However, the shooting player does not have to be in range as the cargo drops, and can drift away a little to an open spot, as long as they keep lock and don't "cancel" shooting action.

  7. Theoretically, the more people that shoot it between the middle of 4-4 to the portal, the faster the space ball will move and the more bonus boxes will appear, so as long as people that are sitting at the portal start shooting before it reaches the goal, it should give more cargo. For any more specific information about it you will have to contact support.

So in short, both situations should give the same amount of cargo drops. Again, if you want more specific information on the number of drops or anything like that you will need to contact support.

Do you have any further questions Darkomaani?

  8. Allright, thanks :)

Contacted support, you may close this, I hope I will get an answer I was looking for, I will report back in speakers corner if it is something different than we all think it is :)
